NFL Discussion Thread: Pats win SB XLIX. Offseason begins

For what it's worth... NFL sources saying the Colts complained about two occasions in their regular season meeting with New England where the balls felt deflated and the NFL ignored them.

A Boston sports writer also pointed out that Bellichick was complaining about fumbling and ripped the team for it all off-season. Deflated footballs all year would certainly help with grip.

Last year they had 11 fumbles lost.

This year, amid all the deflate gate talk... they've had 1 fumble. All season.

Do with that what you will.

Could both teams play with the same balls?
No.

Only NE's were deflated. The teams used different balls on offense. Indy sucks so they were losing that game either way, but... Bellichick loves to try to get one over.

more of a reason to hate the pats.

can't wait until brady gets hit and turns into ***** mode looking for calls, screaming at refs then walking with his head down. everyone says he is so competitive, yeah that's when he is winning. but when he is losing his spirit is ghost

Two of the biggest bandwagon fan teams of the past 10 years so I really don't know who to root for.

How is your spirit gone if you're upset and cursing when you're down?

Yall logic is so ******* stupid. Cam and Jay Cutler are examples of qbs who spirits be gone

Link me where you got these stats from :lol

Either way its lazy as hell to compare seasons like that without any context.

Last year Ridley and Blount, 2 dudes known for fumbling, had the majority of the carries (around 350 att/1500 yards) and they had at least 5-6 fumbles amongst themselves. This year Ridley wasn't used nearly as much then he tore his acl/mcl week 6 and we obviously didn't grab Blount until week 12 when he got released

Bill's news conference is interesting, he's not being a smug douche right now, seems like he is placing it on Tom Brady

He did it in a pretty lowkey way too :lol, gonna be interesting seeing what Tom has to say later today. Can't wait for the league investigation to end so that we can move on the actual matchup which could be classic.

Richard Sherman speaking the truth tho. Lynch was gonna get suspended if he wore gold cleats, but the Pats prob won't get disciplined

Listening to a Russell interview on the radio this morning...I just realized how he sounds so much like Pete. :lol

Wow, Seahawks had illegal 6-man wedge on onside kick. We all missed that.
