Too expensive?

Yeah, he's great. I actually think he's underrated by the general public because of his goondom but 16Ms a year? Even in an escalating cap that's a problem.

We are seeing with Calvin that paying top of the market isn't always a good value even if the player is "worth" it.

Calvin Johnson is maybe my favorite football player of all time but dude is making 4X what Golden Tate is that's just crazy. He just ain't THAT good.

If we resign Suh we basically locking ourselves into Suh, Stafford and Calvin til they retire or hit their mid 30s.

If Suh was 23 or 24 like JJ Watt I'd say give him the money but dude is 28. I don't know.

Gun to my head I'd restructure Matt and Calvin, bring back Suh be in the Saints cap situation 3 years from now and just go for it in the next 3 years.

But its not my job on the line.

LOL

I guess Kaep has time to sneak in Twitter jabs while missing open receivers on tape.

And this coming from a guy behind a keyboard :lol

Thats my QB :smokin

I thought your QB was Tony...... Nevermind ;)

When was the last great Raider QB? Oh thats right none of us know :lol

It was before the last great 9er QB but I'll give you a pass since you haven't even been a 9er fan for a full year.

No way the lions duplicate this year's success without Suh... He was just too important to that defense..

The cap hit is crazy if you franchise him, not even worth it. But can the Lions actually afford to let him walk and be confident going into next season?

I personally think not. However you can get MANY players for what you would pay Suh, and your bound to hit on somebody playing the numbers game...

Tough situation Detroit is in man...I say keep him, he was the best player on the most important unit on that team...

Man I don't know.

You are going to be able to get Greg Hardy and Pot Roast for less that what Suh it gonna get. Probably could bring back Fairley too and the money would be as close as Suh solo.

Suh is great but is he 3 players worth of great?

On New Browns Logo:

Here’s what we know about the update:

-> Brownie the Elf will NOT be involved. Sorry Brownie fans; There won’t be a comeback for everyone’s favorite orange-clad Elf.
-> Obviously, this means that the team’s helmet will no longer be the team’s primary logo. It’s about time.
-> As part of a promise to former Browns owner Randy Lerner, the new logo will NOT be on the helmet. So while the Browns will be getting a new helmet, it’ll probably still be blank on the sides. If college football has taught us anything, not having logos on the side of the helmet doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s going to be a plain old helmet. However, this is the NFL and we’re dealing with the Browns here, so other than a new shade of orange and brown, I doubt we’ll see anything crazy going on with the helmet.
-> The uniforms have been described by various team executives to be “cutting-edge,” yet at the same time linking back to the team’s history. Whether they mean “cutting-edge” when talking about design or “cutting-edge” when talking about the technology utilized in the uniform (you know, the whole “These new jerseys are 560% lighter and cooler! Wow!” deal) remains to be seen. Here’s hoping it’s the latter, because honestly, it’d be so weird seeing the Browns look like a brown-and-orange version of the Seahawks or Buccanneers.
-> There will be 3 jerseys and 2 sets of pants. I will be shocked if one of those jerseys isn’t orange.

Sounds like the helmet is going to look like the one on the bottom left.

Hopefully the Lions are the next team to get a redesign.

The article I read a few weeks ago said not to expect a drastic change in their uniform. It'll be different though. I hope they bring back that orange jersey :smokin

If Mel Kiper's initial mock drafts over the last 5 years were 100% accurate, here's who your team would have drafted:

niners :x :x :x
rams :x :x
eagles :x

I remember I wanted Luke bad, can't be mad tho cuz Cox is straight ballin. JMatt fits Philly's scheme but Kelvin has a superstar ceiling IMHO

This may have been already posted but this is a pretty cool site if you want to play GM http://overthecap.com/calculator

For the Giants I Cut:

Mathias Kiwinakua

Jon Beason

JD Walton

Jameel McClain

Peyton Hillis

Jayron Hosley

Extended Eli with the hopes he'll do something like Tom Brady with contract that averages out to about a 15million cap hit for the next 4 years.

Extend Prince Amukamara at about 6.5 million a year

Which gives about 33.5 million going into to Free Agency, and should allow to re-sign JPP(hopefully at 10mill a year) sign a lineman I would like  Orlando Franklin at maybe 5.5million a year. We also need a safety and I would be willing to Cash-out on Devin McCourtney  if the Pats don't tag him.

Arians stays throwing jabs at the spread :lol

‏@Jeff_McLane

Bruce Arians w/ another shot at spread offense, sending in plays: Hold up card on sideline, QB kicks his foot, snap. That ain’t playing QB.
