Celebrating a season where the highlight victory was over an 8-8 team...

and the glory days that consisted of Jerry Rice with a hairline that started behind his earlobes, and Rich Gannon doing his best Matt Schaub impersonation...

It's so much worse in person...

If anyone is in the bay and has gone to Ricky's... (let alone any other social experience) you understand all too well. Pure comedy.

It's kinda like when the Jets beat the Patriots in the regular season -- that's their Super Bowl. Don't fault them for getting excited. When you haven't seen double-digit wins in double-digit years, every little victory helps.

More power to them!

Why would Revis want to head back to the Jets without Rex there anymore? Money aside, there's nothing really there for him

If that blank check report is true, they could trot out Fireman Ed as head coach/GM and I still wouldn't blame him for leaving. I never ever fault any players for going after the money, and Revis is probably the #1 mercenary in the coldest (business-wise) professional league.

He already has his ring and this is in all likelihood the last big contract in his life. If Woody is so caught up in his feels that he's willing to give him something absurd like $19M AAV w/ $50M guaranteed, then by all means...take that **** and run with it. Ain't 'eem mad because you can't compete w/ that.

^ Exactly this. No one should get upset at NFL players or their contracts. Their playing expectancy is low and most of them barely see one big payday.

Saw people on Twitter balking at Peyton only taking $4 million less because he 'owns a bunch of Papa Johns.' Screw that. Guy is about to be 40 and has 20 year old, 300 lb dudes trying to rip his head off every play.

NFL doesn't care, they'll make theirs regardless. Guys gotta take care of themselves.

Lot of rumors Raiders are going hard on offensive FAs (Cobb & Thomas) to try to build around Carr.

Which I like.

I'm not a fan of Thomas outside of Denver. Cameron would be a better fit for them IMO (and probably a good deal cheaper).

Saw a tweet this morning, Cobb, Julius, and Kevin White to Oakland. Pretty much changes that whole weaponry thing immediately.

And honestly, I like the idea.

Like the idea? I've only ever seen those kind of weapons playing COD Modern Warefare.

The Oakland Raiders are pathetic.

They Have had a top 5 - top 10 pick every year for the past decade or so and nothing to show for it.

Still go under .500 year in and year out.

Your SN is pathetic. :lol

They were balking at the fact that he chokes when it matters most and not playing up to the worth of his contract in the playoffs and super bowls.

If you could tailor his contract to have him stat pad meaningless games against the AFC south and the Oakland Raiders

Then yeah by all means the forehead is worth the whole 16 million a year or 20 million a year.

Still can't believe how garbage they've been in a league that's built on parody. :lol

But it's really not hard to believe or even understand for anybody who even half paid attention to how Al ran the team basically ever since after Gruden's hiring. :lol

There's this thing called the wisdom of crowds, I'd imagine every team since the late 80's has utilized it, except the Raiders. Even if Al hadn't been senile and half crazy the the last decade before he died we still would have been ***.
