You can't retain guys you can't afford to keep

You find a way though man, if it's a player you feel that is a piece to your puzzle you pay him.
i'm just stating my opinions, I would have said the same to any team fans who signed him.

the Braddock dude was just on 97.5 and pretty much confirmed the deal is done. ATL and JAX wanted him as well, glad he decided to come to Philly :Nthat.

They tried retaining him.. But they had already spent big money on the other 3 guys..

And as to the point I made, our secondary was horrible.. So whatever his responsibility is within the defense, him being better than those guys I mentioned = the secondary being better than it was

And obviously we still have more money to spend and there are guys we are looking into

Also the last time the NFC east had a back to back champ, was the Eagles in the '03 and '04 seasons

I never believe teams when they "don't" have the money to pay them but just gave Lynch an extension.
If they felt like he was a necessary they would have found a way is all I'm saying.
Of course, get another guy & your secondary will be better.
I know, our division is a true rivalry.

Earl
Sherman
Kam

In order of important on the back of that secondary.

You plug and play that 2nd and Nickel around them.

It doesn't make sense to pay these order dudes when you draft DBs well and have 3 other pieces in place.

Serious question why don't you have a rep button, I got a screen shot to prove it.

Maybe so, but as how well that secondary plays if ain't broken why try and fix it?

@AdamSchefter: Chargers and CB Brandon Flowers reached agreement on a 4-year deal, per league sources. Deal to be signed this week.

Chargers re-signed Brandon Flowers for 4 years :hat

Just hoping we didn't break the bank to keep him after seeing that Maxwell deal :{

Look what the packers do, they have a system set up and it works wonderfully for them.

It does and it doesn't.. They have arod which helps a lot solve a lot of issues.. But look at their oline and defensive issues over the years

There is no perfect system, drafting guys helps a ton because that frees up money to pick up guys when available (like the pats when revis became available).. Or you make trades when guys might not be working out with other teams (see marshawn with the bills and Seahawks getting him for just a 4th)

Nothing exciting for NFL headlines but this was definitely a crucial deal for the team. Flowers is the first above average CB the Bolts have had in YEARS.

Him and JV as the nickle CB, with Weddle, finally give us a little stability in the secondary. Gotta keep going though and pick up more defensive help :smokin

Maxwell isn't a perfect lockdown corner but he's a good player and an excellent playmaker. I don't know that we have that young guy on the roster right now so I hope we draft a couple... You can't really buy low on CBs these daya

“@JasonLaCanfora: Can confirm ESPN report that Brandon Flowers will stay in San Diego. 4yr deal worth $36M. Corners continue to do very well”

All that guaranteed money and there's still nobody in the NFC east that can check Dez :smokin :p

I'm trying to be mad at Suh but I can't be.

Dude is going to get 60 Ms in the next years on a decent team.

If they suck and he's unhappy he's still going to be 31 and a free agent with 60 Ms in his pocket.

My boy is a Packers fan... texted him you're welcome today. Got a picture back of him celebrating.

we better invest in offensive line...can't have the likes of jordan tuba boy devey lining up across from Suh :lol

He's like the anti hanseworth IMO. It's impossible to see the future, but I don't see how he crashes and burns..and Miami actually has defensive pieces in place...sky is the limit If u ask me, dude will flourish and that d will reap the benefits..
