This is like a bad dream...

That's been going on since the 4th quarter of the bears game week 2.

I thought Cowboy was gonna retire anyways tho, just got a bit of hope once he didn't do it in January.

At least there's not an empty void and although both players obviously can't reproduce the impact both Willis&Smith had, Borland & Dockett should be decently serviceable replacements.

Definitely... It just sucks to see the 3 cornerstones of the franchise(current era) gone in less than 24 hours.

Defense should still be top 10, 15 at worst... barring major injuries.

I want to see Andre go somewhere with a great QB. GB, NE, Den or Indy. Do not want to see him in Phila or Sea :x

Orlando Franklin :smokin
Good **** Bolts, solid signing. Real solid.

He chose San Diego over Chip 8o

Sorry Franc 8o

is it confirmed? cot dammit if so. franklin and rahim were priorities after orange julius chased the money.

Haven't seen a team fall this fast since the Lakers. :{

y u do dis ches :(

ProFootballTalk is reporting both Patrick Willis & Justin Smith are retiring

WOW!!!

who is going to hold for aldon now |I

Would anyone lose respect for Torrey Smith for backing out of his verbal commitment to SF tomorrow and going somewhere else?

In most cases I'd look down on breaking your word.... But I think I would understand in this case 8o

If the contract isn't signed then there's no wrong doing in my mind. Raiders failed Saffold physical last year cause the owner (supposedly) didn't want him. Dirty business.

Damn I'm legit shocked that Pat Willis is retiring, was hoping to see him on a winning squad before calling it quits :{. Dude had a great career though, probably would've been HOF worthy with a few more seasons.

Like I said before,the 9ers = the Lakers. York = Jim Buss

You act like the 49ers would cease to exist and become an arena football team if they both retire

Come on now

Yeah it's a business first lol. OG John Moffitt told Seattle radio Browns failed him on a physical cause he wouldn't take a paycut. Browns management asked and he said no because that's ridiculous that they just want him to take less money, then they said they're going to fail his physical to terminate his contract.

Wasn't Lupati pretty bad last year? I feel like he was constantly getting thrown around.

Nevermind, fake account. Sorry guys

Always been a solid to great run blocker, but not so great pass blocker. I think most 49ers fans expected to lose him.

Loving the 49ers collapse but as a football fan truly sad to see Willis go. He could have played another seven years if he stayed healthy.

Niners thouugh :lol let the dominoes keep falling.

Didn't an ex NFL player recently say that there's a lot of players in that Philly locker room that doesn't want to play for Chip? I can't remember who it was.
willie mcginest said it on NFL network.. and it wasn't exactly clear if it was his opinion (based on speculation that shady was traded because he didn't buy in) or if he heard it from someone..

basically said players talk and it could affect eagles ability to sign guys once other guys talk.. but it came down to shady saying he didn't like that chip gave them a break on Friday and had practice/walk throughs on the days before games (instead of 2 days before games like other teams)
