I like Russell Wilson but if you think he's a game changer elite level QB you're a homer. As proven by the ring on his finger he doesn't need to be.

Ive been following Russell since NCST his first year starting. I guarantee you, friend, that that is more than Seahawks fans can even admit to.

651 let's get into some elite defenses that didn't come close to the title? Really wondering

I just honestly don't understand where all the Russ hate comes from he plays unbelieveably smart football and doesn't lose you the game, what more do you want from your QB?

Exactly what he does. No hate at all. He lets his running game carry the load, play smart, don't put defense in bad spots, and manage the game. He's great at it and deserves that recognition.

Listen to folks tell it, he makes Lynch great, carries the franchise, most TD's first two years* yada yada yada. What he is asked to do is not anything like Peyton, Romo, Ryan, Brady, Rivers, Luck, Rodgers(!!!!!), Brees, Cam, etc.

They refuse to see that, hence the clash in beliefs. They demand Russ get the same recognition as those other QB's.

Given: Matt Ryan and Russell Wilson will never get the credit they deserve by casuals. NFL circles: Give me him now!

Still waiting on a relevant response...You guys are caught up in what you think you know about top quarterbacks in today's NFL, but Russell is setting a new trend. Lots of teams with great defenses never came close to a SB because they didn't have signal caller that got it. You don't have to be flashy and have flare. That's what will never appeal.

I couldn't do it. No way. Russell don't care about all that. He knows winning football is team football and they have a defense, so what's to press? Like I said, I'm not wrong.

I promise you Wilson would be irrelevant if he played for the Jaguars. Let me see him actually have to do something. Look at Aaron Rodgers tonight, no o line, no defense, 1 receiver and he managed to get 16 points against the best defense since the 02 Bucs. What would Wilson do if the the roles were reversed?

Philadelphia, most TB teams pre-Brad Johson (Shaun King era), some Jacksonville teams...Common denominator? Signal call that turned the ball over and made bad decisions. And If I really look it up, there will be more. Those teams should have had multiple SB appearances. Most just won't know that because their Q held them back.

According to Seahawks fans logic, had Niners won the superbowl in 2011, Alex Smith would be a top echelon quarterback. He did the same damn thing Wilson is doing now.

Russ does exactly what his team asks him to do, and you can't ask for anymore.

Y'all slander him, but be real, he could do a whole lot more than he is asked to do.

Yeah I still don't think the AFC rep (Bengals) has a chance vs the NFC

stop that.

:lol

brief thoughts on the game:

- russell was russell
- seahawk defense hasn't really missed a beat
- packers tried to be something they aren't tonight

Because he doesn't put up Aaron Rodgers numbers he's not elite. This guy has improved every season and this is his 3rd season

I wanna be on record, I don't want to credit Russ like he's Peyton, but I'm not goin Alex Smith on him either. Please let that be known, here and now. :lol

Alex Smith isn't the leader or dual threat Russell Wilson is.

They lost in the NFC Title game because Alex Smith couldn't pick up a 3rd down to save his life.

I know this. But it's human nature to let those things seep. Seep to a point where you suddenly go against what you initially thought because you legitimately hate the antithesis. Been there.
