Stats never tell the entire story. Troy was a guy that could do everything on the field. His 2010 defensive PoY reflects that.
Also, come playoff time and in the biggest moments, Troy made play after play to shift momentum or flat out win games.
Being the defensive anchor and best player for two SB winning teams has to mean something to you lol

And dawk was the best defensive player on a team that regularly won double digit games every season along with going to 5 nfc title games
He just got screwed by couple things.. 1) Westbrook’s health and 2) Andy and Donovan being their worst selves at bad moments in the playoffs
I mean towards the end of farve’s career dude was getting Eli type comments because of stuff dawk was doing

Actually game changed so reed and dawk would have more value, as safeties and coverage guys.. and if not for injuries, earl could make an argument too in that group (which goes to the point of availability)
Charles and Troy are in same boat where versatility but importantly their physicality helps them.. Malcolm Jenkins fits with this group too, just to give an example of a present guy
But rod is what you want and has the highest value

I haven't been following it and I don't really care to read up on the situation but I'm shocked Goodell didn't put him on the exempt list for now. If he turns out to be guilty, it's a real bad look and Goodell mishandling something again.
