**NFL Week 5 in Review**

The never ending cycle of fanbases referencing their championships when they have no other noteworthy points to make.
GIVE CREDIT WHERE CREDIT'S DUE. You're embarrassing yourself.

Championships = plural

Your squad ain't got them.

And we went to Denver and beat them with a better team then what he had last year. What's your point? What have the cowboys accomplished since Y2K?

Right? He had to reach back to 1993 to prove the Cowboys ARE NOT the worse team in Texas.

Cowboys worst team in Texas? I hope you just meant at the moment because we know damn well 5 SB rings, 8 appearances, and 20 consecutive winning seasons completely ***** on anything the Texans have done.
And yes I was around to witness 92,93 and 95. As if that somehow negates the "My franchise is better than your franchise" argument :lol

Well...did you really think this conversation was about who was hot in 1993?

your defense for them being the best defense is a video of a LB blowing up a wide receiver going over the middle, AND THE RECEIVER STILL HELD ONTO THE BALL?!?!
the bears defense played "terrible" by their standards last weekend. they turned up so hard in the second half it was unreal. 2 pick sixes ad mad sacks. both guys who had pick sixes also had pick sixes last week. this team is par to break the record for takeaways.

most of these dudes.

these dudes are so well coached. peanut tillman is a fumble forcing machine(pretty sure he has lead the lead in that category for years)

urlacher is a straight up beast. and julius peppers...julius peppers. dude is easily the most physically gifted player in the history of football. he's the LBJ of nfl defense. i wish we still had tommy harris and alex brown tho(i think we got brown back tho)

most of these on this defense were at some point a 95 and up on madden b

Wanna include that playoff streak ? I mean it's note worthy right ? :hat how many seasons is that without winning one ?
But it's ok, cause you won't accomplish **** for the foreseeable future :hat
A overrated QB that throws for empty stats year after year after year.... :hat
Miles "ouch" Austin :hat
Dez Bryant :hat the next great one :rollin 2 100 yard games in 36+ :rollin
And let's no even talk about your head coach :lol
But hey at least you have a history cause there isn't a future any time soon :hat

Empty stats? Wasn't Romo the #4 rated QB last year behind Rodgers, Brees and Brady? First QB to ever have a QB rating of over 100 and his team NOT make the playoffs? Should tell you something about football being a team sport?

Dez Bryant..I was actually going to make a topic in regards to him being "overrated" despite the fact his first two seasons are comparable to alot of the WR's you guys are proclaiming as the best every season. I have to keep in mind this is NT though.

Playoff wins are overrated without winning a chip IMO so that won't work on me champ. You think players go home thinking after an NFC title game "Well hey guys, at least we GOT here the past 6 years in a row." Another reason why playoff wins are overrated: If your team is good enough in the regular season to bypass the first round, you essentially have "won" the wildcard round. However, it goes unnoticed because you didn't actually play. But it means just the same to win in the wild card round but to lose in the divisional round. Yet, we go around prancing "A playoff win" even though the exit was the same. Just that you were good enough to bypass the wild card. My point I'm making is that the Cowboys, as well as a # of other teams (Falcons) were good enough to by pass the initial wild card weekend. Yet, when they lose in the divisional round, we clown them for not winning a playoff game. Same goes for a team that HAS to play the wild card game. They win that wild card game but lose in the divisional round, but we give praise for winning that first wild card game because its a "playoff win." :lol Only NT.

I also forgot that Texans fans get butthurt quite easily over Dallas, which is quite natural considering our FRANCHISES' success. Thats not to say that the Texans don't look good this year but it seems that there's more made out of teams "almost winning" every year vs teams that have "consistently won" in their franchises history even if it were 10 years ago. What did the homeboy Vikings fan say? Give credit where credit is due right?

I say it often but its quite comical to see how much attention you people give the COwboys. I see fans posting about them even when they have a bye week. And then when we turn around and have the highest rated games and people bring up the fact that we're Americas Team, you get mad. Here's an idea haters: STOP PAYING ATTENTION TO DALLAS. Don't give me the "media shoves them down our throats" excuse either. You can NOT pay attention the Cowboys and finally have our ratings plummet. Believe me, its not Cowboys fans giving us the high ratings :lol

Anyway I'll let yall carry on. Texans fans finally have something to cheer about and it'd be lame of me to spoil their few seconds of fame.

EDIT: Last thing before I dip: Ask Eagles fans how it feels to have all these playoff wins. Andy Reid should be going to the HOF :lol

I never thought another human being other than Wade Philips would equate having a bye as a playoff win.

Amazing

Figured someone would miss the point.

So here's what you're saying:

Team A who has a 11-5 record, wins the Wild card round but loses in the divisional round >>>>>> Team B who has a 13-3 record, and has a record good enough to skip the Wild Card Round but also loses in the divisional round

SO I should go around giving Team A a bunch of credit for winning a playoff game, but having the same exit as Team B who was good enough during the regular season to by pass the first round, despite both teams having the SAME ROUND EXIT.

Makes sense....

like i said, empty stats :lol Plenty of teams get carried into the playoffs by one player, ask the Pats. Hell Even Superbowls :lol

how convenient :rolleyes cause not only last year he was the greatest thing since sliced bread, omg look how high he can jump! instead of putting hands on his mother he should run some ball drills, even nike cant help him make those Catches, the real #88 is disgusted.

so wait, now you guys dont wanna win playoff games? cause their overrated ? [kevin hart] oh, oh ok [kevin hart] so basically its ok if you guys dont make the playoffs :lol

what credit? we dont have to give Cowboys credit, yall give enough of youself that.

Please, cowboys get shoved in our faces every preseason

"NFC Picks to the superbowl" blah blah blah, superbowl ready team, blah blah :lol your team is a joke ever since the Trio retired ( theres your credit )

Had it not been for that circus of an organization the new york jets this off season it would've been the same cowboys talk.

And which one of you cowboys fans reported me? fitting considering you have a Victoria's Secret inside your "stadium"

yes cause they won a playoff game, they DID something, what did Team B do? get knocked out. Remember how bad the Falcons were getting clowned when they went 13-3 and lost.

2001 Bucs. They mutilated the niners, the eagles, and than the Raiders in the playoffs.

That Ravens D gave up 23 points in 4 games while the Bucs gave up 37 in 3 games played. I also favor them because they gave up the fewest rushing yards in NFL history. Plus they led Trent ******g Dilfer to a Super Bowl ring. Not that Brad Johnson was an All-Pro QB, but at least he was competent. There's a reason Dilfer was cut next season.

I sense a 'little brother is jealous of big brother' type of complex within your posts :lol :lol. Sensed it amongst most Texans fans on here. ON that note, my fault man you're right. I'ma bow down gracefully.

But I do have to address this one thing: Everyone picking us to beast prior to the season? I seem to recall the entire world including surrounding planets claiming we'd get thrashed coming into this season:

1000

Winning playoff games are overrated :lol

Everything is overrated on here. MVPs are over rated if you don't win the Super Bowl. Touchdowns are overrated unless you win. Field goals are over rated unless its from 40+ Super Bowls are overrated unless you win like, 4 of them.

A dynasty? With Alex Smith?

I mean he's no longer a bust but stop that.

That's not to say that we will have HOF at every position on the field at all times from here on out, but Alex Smith is doing good thus far. Even if Alex Smith is our one weakness, he's just that, our one and only weakness.

this. no team is solid at every position. but alex smith ain't a problem. last year, and this year so far he's doing his thing. respect :hat

One injury away...and yeah this ain't the first time their star players gets hurt, they've always been plagued with injuries whose next Andre Johnson again...I told folks calm down its only wk 5...it's not a sprint, it's a Marthon.

you say that as if it isn't applicable to every other team in the NFL. and check the division, 9 wins takes it :lol

@mmg ^Son...why are you talking last time I remember when Manning was in that Division y'all was non-existent now you got 2 rookie qbs in that division and all of sudden we supposed to respect y'all foh

you can't control other team's injuries. but for what it's worth, our team healthy last year vs their team completely healthy and we still win. they had way more problems than just losing peyton manning.

GIVE CREDIT WHERE CREDIT'S DUE. You're embarrassing yourself.

exactly. you don't have to crown someone a superbowl champion, but give them credit for what they're doing in the now. you know, because now is what's relevant. not championship 20 years aho.

people just need a reason to rag on someone else. it is what it is. *kanye shrug*
