Post your observations from Week 7...

-We'll take a win any way we get them. Losing Costa will hurt. Hopefully Murray and Lee are both back next week.

-RG3 with a nice drive at the end but that college style offense just won't cut it. No Davis and Garcon out multiple weeks=90% running plays will be called the next couple weeks.

-Chargers using illegal substance during the Broncos game? What's that about?

-I have no idea what the hell Cam talking about in that postgame. Who is he putting blame on? Play-calling?

-Correct call was made in the TB/NO game.

-Best WR in the league so far this season? AJ Green

-Speaking of WRs, Steve Smith and Calvin Johnson have combined for 1 TD so far this season.

-Things that could've been done watching Vincent Jackson run for a 80 yard TD? Taxes, Mowing the front yard, Heart surgery...

-Chris Johnson=195 yds, 2 tds.

Quotes of the Week

LOL

-That "College Offense" is working for the kid. RGIII put his team in position to win.  Defense blew it.

-CJ showed that BURN yesterday... Almost forgot my guy was that fast.

-Packers getting back in the groove.  Something tells me Greg Jennings isn't going to get paid in Green Bay this offseason.

-Casey Hayward 4 INT's.  The kid from Vandy is a BALL HAWK. Great start to replacing Chuck.

Houston 6-1 :hat

Great bounce back win and drubbing of the Ravens. And before the chatters start, fine their defense was dinged up but their offense was healthy :hat

Pats play anyone other than Sanchez and they lose that game, Mark is a defenses best friend and Hill dropped a TD pass :{

Cam rocking the coogi post game, 2nd year slump in full effect.

Cam and Stafford were never top 10 to begin with and I hope y'all see that now.

RG3 can play

Giants will win that division.

I guess no one wanted to cover Cruz.

Oh and CJmaybe1K played the bills , the same defense that had mark Sanchez and Alex smith fans excited so lets pump the breaks.

Pats play anyone other than Sanchez and they lose that game, Mark is a defenses best friend and Hill dropped a TD pass :{

i get why people are saying this...but i don't agree. mcdaniels called that game (poorly) knowing he was playing sanchez and the jets.

Aaron Rodgers 150 career TD's 42 INT's.

2nd least amount of INT's at the 150 TD mark - Dan Marino with 69.

Nah I agree, but still, pats defense looked :x at times, mark was wobbling passes all over the field on them. It's the defense more to blame then offense.

yeah...that defense is getting worse every week. DB play is regressing. it's frustrating to watch. our offense just needs to stop trying to be some perfect balanced offense and light it up. going to take 30+ to win week in and week out with our defense.

- CJ felt like playing yesterday I see.

- Full out blitz against RG3 and he runs for 25 yards, those fake hand offs and quick passes had the Giants confused. I was watching the game scratching my head as to how that offense could be defended effectivly for 60 minutes. Giants would play the run beautifully then RG3 would just run it instead.

- GMEN made Alfred Morris a non factor in the 2nd half, not an easy thing to do.

- RG3 throws an INT, Eli throws a pick....RG3 throws a beautiful pass to Moss for the lead late, Eli returns the favor :smokin

- Giants game should not have even come down to that, runt he ball with 3 minutes left and kill clock....but they are a very aggressive team and I can't be mad at that. Same issue with the Eagles game with the offensive PI, they run the ball instead and they are 6-1.

- Bears/Lions tonight is a toss up

- Steelers with a big win yesterday on the road, much needed

- Flacco having the pressure to score 20-30 points for the Ravens to win today does not bode well for them the rest of the way. Flacco can have a 300+ yard game but he has too many of those 1-200 games with 1TD and 2 INT.

- Patriots are an average football team this season, been saying it and now everyone is seeing it. They were lucky yesterday, can't handle the hard hitting defenses at all, just is what it is #finesse

- Cam is putting too much pressure on himself....not like the Panthers did anything to improve the team around him per say, and people expect him to do more?

- Once a QB is out of the pocket that shove was not illegal contact, but if you're pushed out of bounds you should be able to catch the ball (only if pushed)

If Bears win tonight I'll be 13-0 for the week on pick em's :smokin

- Giants vs Skins was a pretty entertaining game although Santana ruined the ending with that idiotic fumble
- AJ Green had 1 catch yesterday, gotta do a little more to get him the ball
- I hate that stupid rule that ended the Bucs/Saints game. It's unfair that there's effectively no way a WR can "re-establish" themselves after being knocked out of bounds by a defender in the endzone. Brees is heating up and by golly a Saints safety actually made a GOOD play for once (Jenkins), Lagarette Blount is so horrible :{
- Cam Newton is slumping beyond belief, he has to be a leader and take more responsibility for his own horrid play even though the playcalling is god awful. Why do they even have running backs on the roster? has the o-line been completely revamped after Deangelo signed that huge deal?
- the Jets/Pats game was tough to watch. I don't see how Jets RB's don't have 1000 catches a year with Sanchez at the helm, Pats got lucky
- Rams played the Packers tough but Aaron Rodgers is playing insane right now :x
- My Lord Ray Lewis doesn't play on offense does he? Ravens have no excuse for getting whooped like that, this is why people question you every other week Flacco
- hello Chris Johnson, welcome to the 2012 NFL season.
- is the Bills backup QB THAT bad? Fitzpatrick gives the game away EVERY week
- Vince Young gonna be the Cardinals starter in no time, Skelton is horrible

Any explanation ? What's going on with Mccourty I know his rookie year he was the goods.

- Aaron Rodgers 9 TD's in 2 games :eek

- Adrian Peterson showing that he's still the best RB in the league.

- RG3 was clutch again. Running or throwing he can kill you with both. Its funny how the ******** finally get a franchise QB and the defense falls off.

- Somebody needs to tell Cam to stop looking depressed after games. This league will humble you and rightnow he's not handling it the right way. In his defense though this is basically the same team he had last year. They didn't add any pieces.

- Kevin Gilbride wake the **** up please. You almost blew that game. Thank you Eli and Cruz.

--49ers on top of the best division in football.

--Another field goal kicker saves the day for Tom Brady and the Patriots but what else is new.  Patriots are well coached but lack a good defense to be a major factor towards the end of the season.

--Great game between the Skins and Giants, but the Skins gave Eli too much time and he went to work...............CRUZ.

--As long as RGIII plays for the Skins he will be forever cursed for the near future.  He can definitely play and deserves better than what's he's getting and will get playing with that franchise.

--Flacco yet again proving that he hasn't taken that necessary step to carry the Ravens in crucial games.

--Cam Newton falling from grace slowly but surely.

--Bears should win tonight.

Steelers - Solid win last night. It's the best effort (except for Mike Wallace) on both sides of the ball so far this season. Can't believe the secondary kept AJ Green to 1 reception for 8 yards & TD the whole game. Keenan Lewis played a hell of a game last night. The best I've ever seen from beginning to end. Good to see Dwyer get his game on too. Looooved the effort from the o-line too. They played mad salty & loved seeing Colon mix it up with Burfict. I think my favorite played on the squad is Doug Legursky. He'll play whatever position on the mash unit the Steelers call an o-line & play solidly.

Rest of the league-
- Mike Jenkins. Wow.
- How can the ******* secondary let Cruz go by them like that? RGIII & Eli Manning rivalry will be interesting to see the next several years. Giants & the Skins will run that division for years to come. Skins just need to get a better o-line & better receivers for RGIII. ******** always try to make Santana Moss the 3rd receiver but he ends up being the 1st...LOL, he's like a roach infestation, he keeps coming back....
- Scratching my head at Joe Gibbs giving the Cowboys a pregame pep talk...
- AP is back & playing like gang busters reminding everyone what a franchise back is supposed to play like...
- There has been a Chris Johnson sighting in Tennessee...
- Bills defense...SMH....
- Texans would've won even if ray lewis & lafonda webb were playing...That D was ranked in the mid twenties with those guys healthy...
- Chargers using stick em? SMH @ Norv Turner...
- Looking forward to seeing the Bears go ham on the Lions tonight...

-Still confused by the call in the TB/Saints game. DB can put hands all over the WR as long as the QB isn't in the pocket? How does that make sense? Bucs got hosed.

-Cam Newton's presser - damn. I'm sure Steve Smith is going to talk to him again.

-RGIII is too good. It's a shame the secondary let him and the rest of the team down because dude came up HUGE when the team needed him.

Prior to the season, defensive end Osi Umenyiora said he would call Griffin “Bob” until the rookie QB proved himself, but this week said Griffin’s rightful name was, “Sir Robert Griffin III,” after watching him put up highlights during the first six weeks of the season.
Umenyiora had more praise for Griffin following the game.

“That guy is flat-out unbelievable,” Umenyiora told reporters in the locker room. “That’s the best QB we’ve played this year.”
Said fellow end Justin Tuck, “[Griffin] takes away from your enthusiasm for the game a little bit,” as a defensive player.

Defensive end Chris Canty added, “He’s faster in person than he is on tape. He’s very, very fast. He’s a very talented young man. He’s going to have a lot of success in this league.”

Giants coach Tom Coughlin said, “He looks like the fastest guy on tape and he’s certainly the fastest guy on the field. When he pulls the ball down, when you break down contain and he goes outside, you are just praying someone is going to run him out of bounds.”

*PSK...O-Line has been real good for the ******** this year. They are not a problem.

*How are fools gonna cite a "college style" offense being a problem for the Skins, when it really isn't? #1 in running the ball and #5 in total offense. Easy to see who is actually watching the games.

it's laughable how hard dudes are trying to NOT give RG3 any credit, yall care too much about these NT shticks

from a talent standpoint, we've been missing on those DB picks. the big thing for me is safety play. they're letting guys behind them, they're late to the ball. there's no instinct in our secondary. no playmakers. i'm not sure how much coaching goes into it, but they need to come up with something that works with the talent level that we have.

and at the end of the day, it starts with a pass rush. our pass rush has gotten a little better, but it's still far from great.

-Cowboys finally got a win... I'll take it no matter how it looked.
-Giants & Washington with a great ending. RGIII came up real clutch, Cruz just burned their secondary on that last play. Too many turnovers for them too, when they've been good with that all year.
-Chris Johnson with a big game
-Rodgers on a roll
-Sanchez :x :rollin
-Flacco & the Ravens :x
-Not a fan of that rule with the Mike Williams play. If anything, atleast I think he should be able to come back inbounds & make that catch (only since he was pushed out).

Sanchez has the worst offense around him, can't get on him too much, he made the plays down the field and WR dropped wide open pass for the first down to potentially seal the win.

How spot on was this assessment on Cam Newton by ProFootball Weekly (listening to The Herd):

Positives: Very well-built with big deltoids and a strapping physique. Excellent arm strength — can make difficult throws off-balance while on the move and air out the deep ball, hitting receivers in stride 50 yards downfield. Throws with velocity. Composed in pressure situations and found ways to come through in the clutch. Big, strong, physical runner. Pounds defenders and can push a pile — almost always falls forward. Smooth-striding, fluid-moving athlete. Highly competitive and productive against top Southeastern Conference competition — rose to the occasion against Alabama and Oregon on the biggest of stages. Very savvy — confident, charming and charismatic and can light up a room. Highly competitive and plays with passion.

Negatives: Played in a simplified, run-first, dive-option read offense with very basic high-low reads. Worked exclusively out of the gun and was very quick to run at the first flash of coverage. Limited field vision — does not process the passing game. Inconsistent throwing mechanics with a flick delivery — generates all of his power from his upper-body strength and too often arms the ball. Streaky passer with spotty accuracy. Makes his receivers work hard and throws into coverage. Does not spin a tight spiral. Very disingenuous — has a fake smile, comes off as very scripted and has a selfish, me-first makeup. Always knows where the cameras are and plays to them. Has an enormous ego with a sense of entitlement that continually invites trouble and makes him believe he is above the law — does not command respect from teammates and always will struggle to win a locker room. Only a one-year producer. Lacks accountability, focus and trustworthiness — is not punctual, seeks shortcuts and sets a bad example. Immature and has had issues with authority. Not dependable.

Summary: An extremely talented, dual-threat QB who carried Auburn to a national title, Newton has the arm and athletic talent desired in a rollout, play-action, bootleg vertical passing game and would fit ideally into an offense such as that of the ******** or Raiders. However, he always will test the rules, be difficult to manage and lacks the intangibles to win the trust of a locker room. Will require a very strong-willed, demanding coach to live up to his potential and avoid the trappings of fame and fortune, but even the greatest taskmaster will not be able to keep away the drama that is still swirling from a stained Heisman Trophy and littered recruiting trail that Newton left in the SEC. Can provide an initial spark, but will quickly be dissected and contained by NFL defensive coordinators, struggle to sustain success and will not prove worthy of an early investment. An overhyped, high-risk, high-reward selection with a glaring bust factor, Newton is sure to be drafted more highly than he should and could foreclose a risk-taking GM's job and taint a locker room.

NFL projection: Top-15 pick.

Texans
-They beat the Ravens for the first time, I hope they're making a banner for it right now
- J.J. Watt is playing on a completely different level, DPOY no question about it

NFL
-Eli and RGIII :hat
-Why doesn't CJ play like that all the damn time? Granted he was playing the Bills
-The Bills are really getting great return on their investments
-It's amazing how explosive AP looks after that injury
-Cam :lol
- Aaron Rodgers back to MVP form I see

Last night
Started how I expected, looked like it would be a long night
Turned it completely around end of first half and kept it up
D finally gave some safety help on the #1 WR
Keenan Lewis made some plays
Wallace with crucial drops
Batch with a horrible drop
Antonio Brown continues to outplay Mike
Good sustained drives, I know Ben wants to go downfield but they are controlling the clock
Heath continues to be a top all around TE in football
OLine played tough
Dwyer looking like a mini Bus, he runs hard and could help signal the end of Mendy
Ike finally covering someone
Bengals issue continues to be consistency in all areas
Ben just wins in Ohio
Dalton seems to be struggling a bit, just not making the best reads and seems low on energy
Bengals o line was dominating and then they got away from running the ball
Marvin is awful at challenges
Rey M just makes the wrong play too many times
I like Rainey, had some good returns and plays

Rest
Cam needs to talk to HBK, he has lost his smile
Eli is so clutch
Pats D going to kill them come playoff time
Joe Flacco continues to disappoint when he should rise. And why does Ray Rice continue to be ignored?
Needed win for Texans, looked good
NFC is so much better right now

That sad, empty feeling when you realize your team isn't elite that year and weekly problems are really symptoms of a larger issue.

If there is such a thing as a "bad" win...Patriots accomplished that yesterday.
