They're really doing this release horrible. Go check out Nordstrom, they have a 3-4 fire colorways that almost look like OG or 1999-00 era colorways but they're all GS sizes.

Then the other colorways we get are low-tops.

Pair came in a couple days ago and finally got around to snapping some shots of these beauties. I absolutely love them. Leather is actually much better than what was used on the previous run of Flight 89s a few years back. It’s obviously not the best leather by any means but very much a respectable grade of pliable leather was used this time. Not all out plastic like the last run. Beyond that, they check all the OG details boxes (perforations, OG tongue mesh, corduroy mesh along the heal etc.). Shape is also good and a lot more sleek like the OG, unlike the last retro. This is about as good a retro any fan of this model like myself could ask for in 2024. This release is super weird in that they’ve only released at a few places and have been out for months yet haven’t gone on sale at those places. I’ve waited since April for a sale and ultimately had to break down recently and copp off SX. Paid $125 shipped which I can live with. If I find them on sale or at the outlet down the line I’ll gladly double up. If/when they release the True Blues and OG white/black/grey/red in this iteration I will copp multiples of each. Listen, in other words, this is not the one to sleep on.
