They have white speckles on the midsole.

Well the day came and went and nothing. Waiting to hear back from crooked tongues for the 5th or 6th time now (I'm losing count) I have this gut feeling that they are either lost or they screwed up my order somehow

The speckles aren't like the speckles we normally think of. This is one of those deals where the rubber Nike used for the outsole is made of certain materials where those white flecks are just mixed into it. Off the top of my head, can't think of the last pair I got like this, but it's fairly common. Doesn't look bad, and it's not painted on.
