What I don't understand is, why would JB use varsity red if they're going to release BC4s (with fire red) in 2019? Why wouldn't they save $$$ in the manufacturing by using fire red on the Fire Reds if it meant that both shoes could share some of the same subparts, like the underside of the tongue and insoles?

Fire Red was only used on the OG. That varsity red has definitely be a factor in this colorway always being at the bottom of OG 4s to me.

Technically, every retro of this colorway has used "Varsity Red" not Fire red.

Def agree. I used to LOVE this CW when I was younger but as I gotten older the appeal wore off and it’s because OG aesthetics have been missing.

There really is no excuse for them not to use it on the IV this time around

There’s also another Chinese seller with a pair that’s also varsity red and confirms a jumpman on these. Chinese sellers are by no means legit, but they are rarely wrong when it comes to showing upcoming details on shoes.

Pinoe77 seemed pretty confident that the 2019 will have Nike Air on the back. In the past, he has usually only made those kinds of statements (e.g., about whether a pair will have Jumpman vs. Nike Air on 3s and 4s; or 23 vs. 45 on 11s) when he has good info on it.

Upon further inspection those are beyond fake lol they changed the color blocking on the bottom I will kindly remain quiet until samples surface from a reputable source
