Excuse my geezer-ness, but is their a difference between "fakes", "unauthorized pairs", & "reps". Can we just flat out call them fakes, instead of muddling in the grey. I think there's more dignity in it if we just call a spade a spade.

Overseas be eating before us lately. Korea got the OG Penny 1’s already, now Tokyo be getting the 3’s.

Definitely been the case a good portion of this year. I'm sure Goat and StockX will be flooded with these joints hard next week.

Fakes and reps are the same. Unauthorized pair is usually a pair made by the same manufacturing plant that produced pairs for Nike, and they’re usually made with the leftover materials. With that being said, good luck getting proof that they were actually made in the same manufacturing plant. Bottom line - buy from retail. Only way to guarantee authenticity.

I remember the last retro of the fire reds were easy to cop too. They were actually sitting in stores.

Its so tempting cause it’s like $40 over retail and peace of mind is easily worth that but with so many reps out there I’d rather wait and if anything hope to find someone here to sell me a pair for around that same price as they are now.

You'll be alright. These won't be any harder to get than any of the other (non Jordan 1) OG colorway releases since 2015. As long as you don't sleep through the release you'll get your pair(s).
