Wear any of the recent retros (the last 3 or 4 years anyways) and they'll quickly be clear, and will begin to yellow before you know it. IMO, the blue tint is a non issue if you actually wear your shoes.

100% agreed!  And for the guy above who craves the OG yellow...don't worry, they'll be just the same piss yellow eventually! ;-)

+1, that blue tint killed it for me on the White Metallic V's last year. I prefer the original "icy" or whatever it is called....even if it yellows faster.

The common theme between those two is it became a business. Granted energy dwarfs Nike sneaker sales......I was surprised when I heard sneaker reselling is a $1.2 billion dollar industry annually in the US. There is that recent Comedy Central piece, in it the statement was reselling on Nike product alone generates more profit then the next closest sneaker company. So second to Nike's profits are reselling of Nikes......that'll drive prices up fast.

The mesh/netting on the tongue is right (clear color) the reason why this is even in question is because of the pictures of those unauthorized pairs that are posted in the thread have black mesh/netting on the tongue and "Jordan" on the outsole.  If you look at the article Nike posted about the Jordan "new remaster" process then you would see the mesh/netting is clear and "Nike" is on the outsole of the sample pair they were teased.

Fair enough. I'm not really crazy about it either, especially if the shoe isn't predominantly white/black and blue (For example, it looked better on the Laney V's versus the Black Tongue Fire Red V's). Bulls colorways and the blue tint bugs me. But it disappears fairly quickly, and it has slowed the yellowing on my shoes, so I've grown to be OK with it.

I could barely see the blue tint on my Fire Red Vs from '13, and they came with some yellowing spots already out of the box from NDC.  Would have preferred a deeper blue and no yellowing that fast.

Blue tint is trash. It was just for an icy illusion IMO. I had DS 95 Concords that were more icy than my DS DMP 11s. My '01 Cool Greys and '01 Wht/Red lows were worn many times, and still a decade later were yellowing very slowly. It's possible for them to make clear higher quality outsoles. It just cost more.

Some do gradually loose their blue hue, but why can't we just get the classics done right 100%. They did a great job in 2015. They can butcher the new color ways all they want.

Yeah I definitely care more about the material used on the upper then the blue tint (still don't like the blue tint). These better have Durabuck. Watch JB release these with NA and a suede upper just to troll.

Really eh, my 3M tongue Fire Reds had a healthy dose of blue to em. They went clear in about a year I'd say. They're my beaters now, and are getting pretty yellow, but aren't piss yellow just yet

My pair is still DS.

they are not piss yellow but no longer blue.

no clear either, hard to describe.

I paid $220 for my infrared 3lab5's and the quality on those is quite amazing. Hard to fathom paying the same price for these. I will have to see them in person

If I can find a pair of all black 3lab5s for around $220 Ill pass on the NA.
