I refer to them as "neutral cushioning" to make myself feel better, but yes, they're fairly brick-like. Doesn't make me love them any less. None of my favorite sneakers are well-cushioned though (AM98s, Jordan 1s and 4s, and Vans Vault Slip-Ons).
