I'm hoping we get the ones that were posted by our european brothers instead of the hyper blue pics posted for champs here in the states. The pics posted today looks closer to the og pair. Anyway, robocop either way on the 27th.

the 1999 retro was a EU exclusive, the 2002 retro was also available in the EU

but i am not quite sure if the 2002 retro was available in the US,

on the internet i could only find info from the 2003 retro for the US

but nothing from the 2002 version

I started college in 03 and I had those then. Maybe they dropped in 03 and not 02 and yes I'm in the US.

Lol no I actually found a bunch of these gave a few to the two nephews (which is what I had at the time). Now I have 4 and a son of my own.

I am not sure there is a real 1999 model or if they just didnt stop the production of the shoe from june 98 to june 99. The 99 model in the pic is a 98 model.

your right about the 2002 version, i went back to my history to find the pic and the box says the style code from the US 2003 model

and there was a 1999 model for sure but from what i remember back in the day the toecap on the 99 retro was blue instead of transparant

cuz back in the day there was a guy that i knew, he was all over the hyper blue AMPs he bought 2 pairs in 98 and also 2 pairs in 99 and when he showed me the 99 retro i noticed that the toecap was blue also the blue on the upper of the 99 was not as popping as on the 98 but it is possible that the production run of the 98 version stopped in the early year of 99 and that in the summer from 99 came a new version with the blue toecap and the less blue upper

^  I'm taking JM's word over any of the generic sneaker blogs out there.  If dude says they're dropping, I can't see why they wouldn't.  

Frankly, I'd love it if the blogs never said a peep about these.....the less hype the better.

I dont think the shoe has the ability of hype beast status, or that most kids would no a single thing about this classic, but its still pretty note worthy its coming back out it is suprising none of the blogs have posted it

Nike need to send 2 pairs to kanye and kim for some exposure of the new hyper blue AMPs

and hire a ignoring paparazi to photograph them, and hopefully TMZ will be around to capture that s**t

and 3 days later you will see the AMPs up on feebay for 250 or more and the price will slowly go up while the suplies start to shrink

That 99 release must have been Europe they never re released here in 99 but even still I don't recall a 99 release of these in Europe certainly not with a blue tinted cap if that's the case I would certainly love to see it. I remember the am plus being faked like nobody's business for YEARS (still is)
