Hi guys, I'm Fabio, from Turin, Itlay, I just found out this beautiful forum checking out images and infos bout the air max plus on the internet....I'm a sneaker fan since I was 9 year old, my first pair of nike air were the 180 in white purple and orange, back in 1991...I'm not a real collector or anything, I just love sneakers and nike above all...so I decided to join this community to share with u my last acquisition...a fresh pair of Hyperblue retro Air max Plus 1...I couldn't find em in my own town, so I had to order 'em in some Footlocker of Milan or Rome...I dunno for sure where they come from
Tn air in Italy were a big deal back in 1999, when the first came out. Everybody loved 'em and to wear these sneakers was really something cool, u were the coolest guy of ur crew, for sure!!...I wasnt able to cop any of the OG Cw back then, I was only 16 yo and kinda broke...so the first Tn I bought, in 2002, were in a different CW, but I always remained obsessed with the OG CW...I missed em again in 2003, so this time I had to cop 'em!
Tn air in Europe were never discontinued, but through the years, because of the cheaper quality of the materials they were made of, and the awful CW they came out with, they became kinda tacky in our idea of "cool sneaker", and they were relegated to arabian people (we have a massive immigration of people for Morocco, Egypt ecc ecc) who wear the Tn air still now, simply because they wear the fakes that come form their original countries, and people like the guys u see on that tv show, the jearsy shore...guys with that kind of look, I mean, which are not really cool here in Italy...mmmm, definitely not
.
Thats the reason why FL shelves are still full of HB air max plus 1 now!
People like me, who love sneakers and remember the OG Tn air, are kind of frightened by the price and won't buy them, even if they are still in love with the Hyperblues (the retail price is 149 euros, an employed in Italy right now earn 1200 euros per month, it really is a sacrifice to buy a piece like that a for this price to us...|I ). Younger people don't even know that this is actually the first CW ever made for the TN...the girl at Foot Locker who served me today was 23 Yo and she didn't know, of course, that this is the OG CW!!!! (and honestly, she didn't care at all, I guess
).
So talkin bout the shoes, they are really close to the originale HB...less comfy, for sure, but still comfy Id say...
So here I am, I'm happy to share some pics with u all, I hope u appreciate em,
sorry for my english, it got kinda rusty and there may be some errors...
greetings from italy, Fabio
