I agree. None of its successors came even close to looking as good as the original AMP.
With obviously this monstrosity being the worst of them all. WHAT.ON.EARTH were they thinking:

I still have a pair somewhere at my mum’s and the back heel air unit always squeaked like crazy, worst design ever. The only reason i got them back then was cause i saw them on 50’s feet lol, and also cause AMP1’s were hard to get by where I grew up as they were pretty popular / sought after.

That’s also around when the first AMP1’s bordeaux released (those 2003 joints w/ the orange swoosh ~correct me if I’m wrong), would have gone for those instead if they had my size
