Colors are nice, but nike od'ing on releases for eu and aus. The few that dropped here are ok, but just waiting for the pimentos to drop to complement my hypers.

This isn't Nike Od'ing this is how it has been here in Aus almost since 98 , I can't recall a month that didn't have a new color come out. These are a staple like AF1's were for years in the states

its all about demand and supply, if there was not such large demand for Tuned Airs in AUS

Nike wouldnt bring out a 2-4 cws every 2 months there

in the US there is not so much demand for the Tuneds cuz all the peeps there got brainwashed by the Jordans and Lebrons

so the end result is that the US now only get 4-5 cws every 5 years

Sure it's Nike ODing, they see people are pawns to a certain model and they flood that said market. Just as you said they did the same with Af1's and they do the same with other models now. I don't think af1's or any model has that many colors dropping for 15+ years, consistently. People love to follow trends and what everyone else is doing/wearing, If I were nike I would do the same, just milk it. Eventually the casual consumer tires and moves on to the next gimmick, apparently not everywhere.
Btw, never owned a pair of af1's. Just not my thing.

Yep, obviously, supply and demand factors everywhere. Nearly all the amp colorways can be had here easily. There's not much demand for them. They're either sitting in stores across the nation or widely available online. I think we got about 6 or so amp colors since late last year. Some are starting to go to heavy discounts. More than fine with me. The Hypers and pimentos is all I care for.
Just like we're "brainwashed" about Jordans and Lebrons atm, it seems to be the same case about AMP's or perhaps air maxes in eu and aus.
It would have been nice if nike brainwashed us first with the pimento retro instead of the other colors that are just sitting. Just like the first wave of the hypers last year sold out most places, I imagine it would have been the same with the pimentos.

It more gets passed down from generation to generation you see older guys moving away from them and the kids flocking to them

But to put it into persepctive for US guys they are like air max 90's to us, just a popular air max model that is still around, and air max 90 has 1000 colorways each month has multiple new CW's coming out.

This shoe is the most loved and hated shoe in Australia, due to the type of people who wear it... My wife cringes if I buy a pair

My comment about Nike not OD'ing was more aimed that this isn't new, it's not like they just started OD'ing they OD'd in 2000 lol

Gotcha, hear you.

The AM 90 analogy makes since CW wise. I sorta think of them like Foamposites status wise. They're usually associated with *******s in other countries, the way foams are in the states. Or around DC at least. Doesn't mean those who wear them are like that, just tends to be a shoe of choice

Yeah he's in Texas.

I just called my champs, they have them in stock as of today along with a black/white/chrome pair. He said both were sick, it's the same manager that was telling me about the other colors he knew of earlier in the thread.
I'm getting that red pair today, I don't care what else happens today honestly. I'll get pics of both & update you guys, I'm intrigued by this black pair.

I need that grey fade pair and the all black pairs to go on sale. Then I will cop.

Yeah I didnt get around to taking a pic of the blk/chrome pair. The shank plate (if I have the term correct) is chrome and a part of the midsole has an oreo paint scheme. Its a solid and clean colorway.
