In comparison between the Peg 37 shield and the Peg 39 shield, the 39s definitely has more bounce due to the rear air zoom unit. Also, the upper of the 37s felt tight around the top of foot while these are more comfortable. With that being said, everything else feels similar to the 37s to me. The upper being less tight with the goal of being more wide-foot friendly is big upgrade for me, even more than the air zoom sole. I do wish it had a full-length air zoom sole unit, maybe next year.
