Besides...were never gonna see a retro of the Air Command Pressures...and if we did could you imagine the price point?!?!?!? They were what $175 in 91-92...just based on inflation they should be north of $275 to $300....
Inflation is interesting. I don't want to get into a long rant here. But you simply cannot forget about technological advancements. Whether its R&D already being done with the original, to having the molds already, to knowing more efficient ways to construct a shoe. There is a reason Signature Basketball shoes YEAR after YEAR hover around $130-160. With inflation, you would think all of our Nikes would be well over $200 bucks by now.
Nike has given us more for less in recent years but I think they saw that as a losing trend, as their push for billions more $$$$ and decided against that. One example was an air trainer 1 from 2000. The 1990 retail was $120. Common inflation would have that shoe at $157. Instead in 2000, the retro sat at $90... That's an anomaly though. Just as electronics get better and better and cheaper and cheaper (or staying the same relative price), shoes should held in that same regard, but they are not. Hypebeasts ruin the common sense trends that surround us.

^@Wally..agreed...on the hardware and technological side once individual components are replicated it makes manufacturing an item cheaper as the sum total of the smaller parts drops in price...ie everything from Smartphones to plasmas to touch screens...the reason why inflation has to play a role in the remanufacturing of ACP is unless the mold is completely redone...and a new pump system replicated...the price point will remain the same if not higher...just based on the fact the total sum of the components needed to complete the pump system have to be outdated...so what is Nike to do...go back to R/D and create a product which clearly the intended consumer...basketball player, can truly live with out as playing in these, regardless of how many times you pump them up..lol, has to be like playing with damn snow boots on...or plough all that money into kicks to please a limited few...who might !+%+% because they used the Chinese cows instead of the Philipino cows for the leather and wait till they hit outlets...much like those disastrous Carnavores which even at $39.99 still ain't moving at outlets....

I think your right about the trainers...that might be a one off..as the powers that be have there own scale of how fast they want to increase pricing...I think that with the exception of marquee lines, AJ2011 ($190), and number retros, CGXI ($175), the world is not ready for $150 trainers even though inflation says they are...but don't get it twisted...All those combat packs...was nothing more then testing the waters of that theory...

Nike playing it safe YET AGAIN by going with the Air Revolution outsole/midsole combo. If they're so insecure about old Nikes re-releasing in this day and age, why bother with the retroing?

The "PR" stands for "Poor Retro" in case anyone was curious.
