They really do look like an updated Air Force 1, which isn’t a bad thing.

These are probably, imo, the best debut sig shoe besides the AJ1. The materials, craftsmanship, inspiration, on court/off court appeal and over all execution are stellar. Nike killed it with this one and I think the $150 price is justified.

Kinda wishin the AJ38 got the bump in materials that these and the LeBron 21 are getting. Of course this point is mute if we get an SE model for the 38.

Putting Jordan aside.

I think the Penny1 is easily the best first signature shoe Nike as out out.

In Second place, I have a weird choice. The Nike Zoom Uptempo 5...

It is a weird choice because it was Kidd's first official sig. Yet people more closely associate the Nike Air Zoom Flight 95 with him.

They used his jersey number on the shoe's name, but he gets traded during the season and switches numbers.

He wears other shoes during the season too, and doesn't get his second official sig until years later.

But even including everyone, I still say the "Penny 1" and "Zoom Uptempo 5" are the two best first-sigs ones.

And the Shox BB4 being Carter's first sig is a weird Nike rewrite of history, like Penny's rookie-year shoes.
