If you trying to go to WHC, Portland is a good start. I recently quit Nike and it was the best decision I ever made. At the end of the day, its just another job.

Yes, if Nike wants to interview they will fly you in, give you an itinerary, hotel and transportation to and WHQ. Your itinerary will give you the names and locations of each person you will interview with and you will be escorted from person to person by their senior admin or ex. Assistant

IDK who you are or what your problem is, or how you feel my response causes a problem. I work at Nike WHQ, a co-worker loves the site and suggested i check it out. I came across a question asking if Nike will fly out candidates, a response was given saying no, I corrected that, because we do fly out candidates all the time! You can miss me with whatever attitude you have, because I haven't done or said anything wrong. I answered a question, which I believe is the point of these forums, to ask questions and give answers if you KNOW what you are talking about, and I do!

As for backup NT I have no idea what you are talking about, this is the first time I have ever even seen this site, if it's going downhill maybe it's because innocent people are getting attacked by the likes of you for creating an account, and trying to connect with other Nike lovers, at least I thought that's what I was doing. Why you came after me for answering a question is beyond me.

Good job on getting the job and goodluck working ur shift!

What any company is looking for is someone who can contribute, not just what their job description is but that you bring more the the table. Key is Leadership and Teamwork. I can recommend some books if your open to. I can't promise you easy but I can promise you worth it. It will not only help you with your career life but your personal life as well.

I applied for a new outlet store in Eagan, minnesota as a seasonal about 1.5 weeks ago and after my group interview they told me to re-apply as part time. I'll be going into the mall of America location to do paperwork Wednesday and then rookie camp Thursday-Saturday.

So excited, started my training for nike and our outlets open the 9 of August in Bakersfield, CA. The team seems so cool and laid back. I already love my job plus we get 2 shirts 2 shorts/pants and a pair of shoes that are $84.99 so cool. Any advice??

Perhaps someone can help me in this thread. I just got back from the Nike clearance store. While I was in line the person ahead of me had a return. It was the Jordan 3lab5 threes. After he returned it I walked up to the register and said that I would like to buy them. I even told them that I would pay the retail price. The employee who took the shoes claiming to be a manager said that they have to hold onto them for 48 hours. Because they are a clearance store something about corporate having to mark them down.

Is this true? Or was dude just trying to cop them for himself and use his discount?

Same situation happened to me earlier this week. While at another Nike clearance store a customer ahead of me return some Kobes. Right after he returned them they were able to mark then down and sell them to me for $20 under retail.

Any help would be appreciated.

How about a job with corporate? I met with a recruiter while I was in grad school and she liked me, but I never applied because I had to take care of business back home. Does anyone here work in corporate and can speak about what it's like to work there?

Just applied at my local outlet like 3 days ago. How long would it take for them to call me or anything. Should I do a follow up call?

If you're an employee and you end up leaving, I take it your Swoosh account is taken away, too? Or do they allow you to continue to use it? I figured they'd take it, but ... you never know

Has anyone had any experience using their discount in another country?

I would assume all you need is your employee #, and your passport/ID, but I'm not entirely sure.

Reason why I'm not sure is because each region (North America, UK, Asia, ect) has their own systems for their employees,

so while I've been able to purchase things at the ES and several stores around the US, I haven't heard of anyone going abroad to purchase things.

There are a LOT of exclusives in Europe, but I would love to go to Nike London off Oxford street someday.

Hey everyone!

First time posting, long time lurker around the forums. After having a face-to-face interview, I just received the call today from the recruitment team that I got hired at my local Nike Factory store! I'm going into the store Saturday morning to fill out all the paperwork needed and he also mentioned that they'd go over what should I expect with training. I'm really hyped about it but I'm just wondering what should I expect going into it, especially with the training? What's the basics of it? Also, how quickly after getting the paperwork done should I expect training to begin?

Out of curiosity, does anyone around here work at a Nike Factory store in South Florida?

Applied to overnight stocking at a niketown.

They told me it takes 4-5 weeks for an answer.

Is this normal?

Just got hired NikeTown in Chicago!

Though it is Seasonal, I will make the best of it and my experience there.
