awesome custom man, did you use a fabric medium?
thank you.

--and nope. just angelus paint right onto the shoe fabric. its a little stiff at first after it dries, but it loosens up considerably after a few wears. i'm sure fabric medium works great, i've just never used it before. the leather parts i prepped with acetone like usual.

Thanks. Your custom got me thinking to paint my newsprint, not been wearing it as much and a new pj may just be the thing.

I'd been thinking of grabbing a pair of the less demanded/cheaper colourways and customizing them but wasn't completely sure about how to paint the nylon. But the Angelus looks great.

Hows the finish of the areas you painted vs the finish of the already black areas? Did you prep the nylon in any way? How many coats did you do?

Do yo guys think mixing a fabric medium like GAC 900 would help the Angelus paint?

I basically just painted with gobs of black angelus paint straight onto the nylon. To completely eliminate the green color probably required 2 solid coats. No prep work whatsoever on the nylon.

They look and feel great. I've painted roshes this way before too --they were slightly stiffer after I finished them. These are not stiff at all. I've worn them for about 30 minutes total so far and they feel the exact same to me as before painting them.

Roshes are very thin material --these are thicker nylon material. The paint does not seep all the way through. On the inside of the shoe you can still see all the green nylon -black paint has not touched the inner nylon and therefore it is just as soft on the inside as before.

All around recommended. Took me 1 day to complete (it was quite a bit of black paint).

Finally got my stadiums. Thanks to everyone that recommended me to go .5 size up.
There's a little space for wiggle room, so I'm assuming my true size would work but would def be tight.
