How do collabs like that work? They pay retail for the shoe and the customization is free? That why there’s such a price hike?

i would assume they would have to pay Nike for the right to get access to the shoe and then the cost of the materials with the carpet like swoosh. I’m sure it costs more than the average person thinks. However if the dude is truly friends with KD then KD prolly fronted the cost to help his boy out and they made 100% profit. Who knows though. It’s a good look for their brand and has definitely helped them
