This is a good logical observation regarding the colors with those pairs of Kobe VIII slated to release next year.

Venice Beach were meh back then and the are now too. A lot better OG colorways.

I sold mine, because I knew they would age like a banana. Wasn't a fan of the coogi sweater look.

I liked the VB. They were kind of like a blizzaro SB. But I could see someone not like the crayola crayon color scheme on the upper and the yellow laces. I didn’t even know there was a color scheme to VB.

SB, you see the influence in Miami Vice, Miami Subs, etc.
