These did technically release though. The triple black pair is basically like this but the suede near the laces and tongue, the flywire, and then this pair has the perforations. Still cool and nice to see an interesting take on the 8.

There are no similarities between this winter pair and the triple black...respectfully

That winter pair has the embossed, one piece construction that Nike was pushing hard during that time frame. The triple black V1 has the flywire panels, and a mix of suede/leather.

I think the winter pair is kind of cool in hindsight but it would've hit the outlets en masse if it was a GR at that time.

Usually in the box in my basement which can be pretty cold at times.

I worn these quite a bit. I didn’t baby them at all, still in great shape considering they got some court action so it was bound to happen

I love these and the X's because they're casual appeal was insane. I think 3's do too and were ahead of their time but the achilles is deadly on those.

I absolutely love version 1. Version 2 was ok but hate all of the cheap plastic on them. Version 3 is trash and I want to forget they even made them.
