^This is a great point. I crossfit and LOVE it. Lots of ppl enjoy it but that doesnt mean its right for everyone. If Nike turns this around and realizes what they have they can make BIG money in the fitness market (notice I said fitness and not crossfit). These shoes are BOMB I love them. They can be used be the casual gym goer, the "Bro" (yea they exist), the power lifter, crossfitter, musclebuilder, basically anyone who wants to lift and have functional, stable, durable shoes. But the thing about the shoe is its not pidgin holed by "crossfit". I don't crossfit. Never have WODed haven't Kipped a day in my life. I work out, regularly. I box jump, i run 2-3 miles, i deadlift, i squat, i hang clean...this shoe fits everything i need from a "workout" shoe.
I wish they knew that avid gym goers also want this shoe. So the "crossfit" market isn't the only target market for this shoe
So why do I hate the Nike Metcon 1?
I now have no use for the 11 pairs of assorted Reebok Nanos in my closet.
They definitely realize that, and if you pay attention to their marketing, are "selling" it that way. They don't want this to only be a CF shoe/line. Recently they have had pictures of pro baseball guys and a pro boxer training. They are marketing to those "pursuing their athleticism".But the thing about the shoe is its not pidgin holed by "crossfit". I don't crossfit. Never have WODed haven't Kipped a day in my life. I guess this is all a big start of NIke's new Nike Training marketing campaign? New apparel, new shoes, new look?

Side note, I was messaged last night and I think you'll see some shoes show up soon. I think those sick grey/gum soles are on the horizon.

Weird thing is when you click the orange shoe, it moves the volt to the top like that one is available too. Unfortunately it's not.^Just got a size 11 in that colorway through NDC! Thanks for the heads-up.
Thanks. Was finally able to buy a pair. Not a cross fitter but wanted a cheap trainer/workout shoe.Blue/Orange colorway drops tomorrow at 10AM ET on NDC.
