Both of ya'll missed the point. The point was to inspire kids to continue to dream big, so that one day they can reach the status (collab with an iconic company like Nike) like himself while doing what they've always dreamed about. Anything is possible, if you believe; is his point. It's bigger than one sneaker.

it was the whole obsession with Michael Jordan as a youth.
For some it was about the basketball skills
Others it was the shoes.
Jerry said his aim with the footwear and not just the Nikes is to have that impact.
As a kid i wasnt thinking about how expensive VI or XIs were (but my parents sure as hell reminded me lol). I was just thinking I need these.
