Nike Zoom Vaporfly Elite 2017

this is an amazing shoe to run in but i am getting some rubbing on my left ankle bone in the lateral side

surprisingly hitting the toe guard didnt bother me but i think im still going to need to size up half so i can wear thicker socks/bball sock to protect my ankle from the rubbing discomfort

ill give it another run to see if i need to exchange it

My last favorite Nike super shoe was the VFN2.

Tried the VFN3 and AF3. They weren’t bad. Just not game changers imo.

I’d love to try the other brand’s super shoes to see what they’re hitting on. I liked the Brooks Glycerin Max and Super Blast 2.

ive only ran in the AF3 once but i can tell it is an improvement over the other AF/VF of the past

ive ran a half marathon in the VF3 a few months ago and the VF3, the upper feels better which i usually dont like full knit uppers with no tongue because it tends to be too tight with my high instep and its a non-issue with the VF3

its feels about as light and airy but just feels a few notches bouncier, the VF3 is bouncy but with more ground feel but the AF3 feels more propulsive which i think will be the main reason for those who would prefer one over the other

the Vf3 also feels slight wider, I think they did widen the plate which helps with stability on the shoe

its funny because comparing the 2, the AF3 looks taller than the VF3 but bother are 40mm in the heel and 32mm in the forefoot
