Nikestore.com now charging taxes...

DC residents will now receive taxes when purchasing online from nikestore.com, although we do not have a physical store yet(gtown isn't open yet). If you call, the rep will say they have always charged taxes, even nikestore's twitter rep told me they have always charged taxes, when that isn't the case. In their system the update to the states that charged sales tax, DC was just added on the 17th of this month. I know to some of you it might seem as if I am whining, or don't have enough posts to create a thread, sorry. Being that we are all sneaker lovers, I felt the need to pass this on to others.

well that sucks....it was pretty convenient to order something online and have it shipped to the job to avoid tax.

after telling nikestore they were wrong, they stopped charging sales taxes for us, and said they will issue a credit to those they charged
