There is so many negative articles today posted up about the SNES Classic preorder "apocalypse" that I'm not sure this is the "publicity" that Nintendo wanted for their brand.
Even the NES Classic didn't receive this many negative publicity prior to its release, but that was b/c the hype wasn't there yet.
Normally this type of reseller madness is something we deal with on a weekly basis with Saturday Jordan releases, but Nike/JB already developed a reputation with that **** AND get away with it. Nintendo on the other hand, yeah they had that reputation of hype too...........BUT they're also trying to repair their image after the failed Wii-U, so it'll be interesting how this develops from here.
The Switch is still selling good at the moment, so Nintendo will have that in their corner
