Wait. Hold up. A Bulls fan complaining about a player being arrogant? The man that has his own sub-forum here was even worse b...;)

You must be young and grew up on the Hinrich and Gordon era...

Jordan was never 1/10th this arrogant. Reference the video going around about being the "best in the world" and how MJ handled the question.

You don't think mj was this arrogant cause there wasn't the same media exposure back then as there is now. No fb ig YouTube twitter nothing like that.

So that HOF speech never happened?

Last truly great team was the '08 Celts. Dominated the league from day 1. '09 squad was on its way to be even better if KG hadnt gotten hurt

100% wrong. I was a huge MJ fan growing up and watched countless games, press conferences, interviews, etc and still do to this day. MJ was a soft spoken and humble guy off the court. I wouldn't have liked him as much if he had LBJ's unfounded arrogance. Show me a clip where MJ said something that obnoxious?

The reason you guys are on this site is directly or indirectly because of MJ, remember that.

That's the point :lol there is no clips nobody could record something he said and throw it on YouTube you saw it once on TV and that was it its gone for good

How you gonna just disregard the 09' Lakers? :lol

That team was on a mission! IIDC, they were like 10 games above everyone in the West.

I still think Lakers had a better shot against Celtics if Bynum wasn't injured.

Well I saw all the MJ press conferences and interviews and he never said anything like that. Not even close.

My dude MJ referred to his bigs as 21 ft of poop, :lol

Great guy, tho.

That was a very good team. Nothing memorable though. Orlando had no business being in the finals. Celts-LAL wouldve been damn good if both teams were healthy that year.

Last great Laker squad was the '01 one. Went on cruise control in the regualar and then embarrassed the top teams in each conference. :smokin

MJ was as arrogant as hell. Even more so than LeBron, it was just much easier to hide in his day and age. He was also much more media savvy than LeBron.

But as far as just pure arrogance? Lol, he would make LeBron look humble. At the very least, LeBron is nice to his teammates (until he stabs them in the back and forms a super team somewhere else, anyway)

Everything I have read about MJ has led me to form the opinion that I would never ever want to be MJ's teammate, unless I was Pippen. It looks fun to be Lebron's teammate, on the other hand. Until the losing part, they look like they having fun, and they look like they genuinely like him

The way I read it, no one on the team really liked MJ. Over time, if you proved yourself, there would be mutual respect between MJ and yourself, but that's about it. Lol, Pippen and MJ aren't friends. They got along because Pippen was good. But when you hear Pippen asked about MJ, it's pretty clear, they aren't friends.

Now Michael Jordan wasn't arrogant?

Really that's what we're going with?

You boys.

How can anyone be a lebron fan? Dude is scum. Disrespected his whole team, just lost after claiming he was the best in the world, excuse after excuse.... :{

ZERO respect

You should've just stopped reading at "MJ was a soft spoken and humble guy" :lol

He was but he certainly handled the media better

It was easier to control back then

with the Nike/Pepsi/McDonald's machine making soo much money off dude they did their job.

Would be impossible to paint MJ in the same light with today's media

Can you imagine Instagram posts of Mike in casinos the night before a playoff game tho? [emoji]128514[/emoji][emoji]128514[/emoji][emoji]128514[/emoji]

There was less media to handle. In todays society the general public is a part of the media. Anyone with a twitter or Instagram can contribute to the media. Thats how people catch 2 second clips of a guys penis being exposed on TV and it becomes this huge thing, or how sending the wrong tweet lands someone in hot water for days.

Perhaps it was due to circumstances but it doesn't change the fact he handled and controlled the media perfectly. I wouldn't be surprised if he would have adapted and done fine in this day in age either

We all know Mike was arrogant

Point being he handled it better than Bronze in the media, cept that speech of his

All this talk of todays social media painting MJ in a different light is irrelevant

Point is dude lost big after talking big

No other way of slicing it
