NT, can you recommend a place in NYC to eat for my bday?

So in a few days, I will be celebrating my bday. However I have a few problems:

  • not everyone is 21 so bars are out of the question
  • some people are picky so eating foods that are too ethnic may be a problem
  • one girl wont eat non halal food and wont let my friend/her boyfriend eat non halal food but she'll eat vegetarian food
I know it should be MY choice but I like to consider other people as well. There are about 10 people total and I wouldn't mind eating some steak orseafood. I also don't want a chain restaurant like Applebees or Olive Garden. Thanks for the help.
