when I get back to computer I'll put together final nominations.

if you've only seen most of the popcorn films, you can just put your list for those and vice versa.
when noms are done we'll get to voting, try and get this done before the Oscars tomorrow night.

No way in hell you're serious about movies from 2010... cant be.

For people who think Drive was the best movie of the year...why? I'm genuinely curious because I really don't see it at all

2011 was one weak year for movies...but of all the ones I saw from last year, Drive and Tree of Life will stay with me more than any of the others. That might not necessarily mean they were the greatest or that I didn't have issues with some of the plot or writing (or lack thereof), but just...viscerally. The experience of watching these two films. No matter how locked in on catching up with you google reader or NT or texting or just $%++#$+!+%%!...when it's on, there's nothing else. And at the minimum, that soundtrack is getting burn for years. I loved A History of Violence and True Romance, movies this reminds me of a lot. The style and the rhythm of the movie, even in the parts that disappointed, it hits more memorable for years moments than any other movie I saw from last year. And it got better with every watch for me.

Anyways, nominations. Get your last ones in, I'll do final noms soon, add on the acting we decided, then get to voting.
