NT MATURER MEN SCHOOL ME ON SHAVING

You got the razor on point...me I do it 2 times, 1 time all around shaving down, then I put more shaving cream and then shave up all around

I used to get them bad when I went against the grain. Now I just put hot/warm water on my face, shaving crean and go with the grain. I also use a womens razor occasionally. Its not a super close shave but the bumps are gone. I do get razor bumps when I don't shave for more than 4 or 5 days

tag teaming ? i see you boyz

I will say the purchase of a fogless mirror has helped alot & keeps skin soft after shaving .

shower/shave

or ill shave while in the shower, may help you out a bit OP.

I have to shave in the shower. Otherwise, it irritates my skin or I either have bumps or bleed in certain spots.

I can use my electric razor anytime, but I really don't like using that.

just get one of the high quality electric shavers. saves so much time and i'm sure it's better for your skin.

I've been playing around with different things recently and settled on a traditional safety razor with soap and a brush.

I used to use the Gillette mach4 - and that was good - but the blades are insanely expensive so I found I would try and use them for too long so they would shave badly.

The blades for my new razor are about 10c each so I change them often. The shaving brush and soap work well - and work out good value too. I've been using them about 6 months now and I've only just worn through the soap.

This is what my razor looks like:

I just bought a cheap one to try but specialist shaving places sell fancy ones - not sure what the difference is except for a peal inlay handle and stuff like that. Same with the brush - you can get one for about $5 which does the job or you can spend $100 on a fancy neck of the badger one (cheap ones are boar hair).

I always shave after a shower - just makes the hair much easier to cut - and using plenty of hot water and a fairly stiff consistency of shaving soap - takes a little while to get the hang of whipping it up properly - there are tons of websites that show you though.

I go with the grain and then a few spots carefully against the grain to tidy things up.

The technique of those traditional razors is a little different - you don't have to press nearly so hard and you have to be careful of the angle of the blade - but once you have practiced for a bit (and probably cut yourself a few times) it is a nice way to shave.

LMAO....you stay on the defensive.
nothing wrong with shaving every other day, just not my preference at all....i rather let the barber touch me up (no pun intended) every week.

I dont have steady hands, might end up zeeking myself.

WASH YOUR FACE 1ST THEN...

USE A HOT WET TOWEL FOR 3MIN ON THE FACE TO OPEN PORES AND LOOSEN HAIRS

I think I know what you are referring to. I find using a razor I'm 50/50 for razor bumps and that's too risky. Especially when it's one of those weeks where the hair seems to grow faster

. Hair buzzer is good money. Go over your face a few times and you're good to go.

For the last month/month and a half, I've been shaving every two days. I'm not sure if I'm just seeing things or not, but I'm starting to see a difference in growth. My beard appears to be coming in more full and better looking instead of the dirt-look it used to be when I would shave once a week.

Shave after showering when your hairs are nice and soft

Leave blade under running hot water

Moisten your face with warm water

Apply shaving cream (screw those pre shave things)

Shave down until everything is almost gone

Shave up to finish off

Apply after shave

What kinda shaving we talking about?

I usually get the trimmers, then straight razor, the i get cleaned up with a electric norelco shavers

bookmarked...
just bought a straight razor and waiting for shipping. Might as well go the whole 9 and get a shaving brush/better cream too.

Any black nters use this?

My pops used to used while I was growing up and I just started recently after getting tired of neckbeard

. It's a depilatory like Nair but its more sensitive and meant for the face. Works wonders.

let the barber line you up with the straight razor, those 4 and 5 blade deals are whack
