NT MLB Redraft Thread: May standings posted!

If the playoffs are where kings are made, is Josh Beckett one of the best pitchers in baseball history?

He did have 2 dominant playoff runs.

Way too small of a sample size in the playoffs to draw any meaningful conclusions.

But you literally play all 162 games to win meaningful series in October. Beckett had a great pitching career, he was elite and clutch in the postseason. Anti-Clayton Kershaw as of now. Happy he got his no-hitter this year before retiring. No one said he's the best of all-time.

Kluber 34 GS, 235.2 Inn, 207 H, 64 ER, 14 HR, 51 BB, 269 K’s, 2.44 ERA, 2.35 FIP, 1.09 WHIP, 18-9 7.3 WAR #1
Richards 26 GS, 168.2 Inn, 124 H, 49 ER, 5 HR, 51 BB, 164 K’s, 2.61 ERA, 2.60 FIP, 1.03 WHIP, 13-4 4.3 WAR #13
Arrieta 25 GS, 156.2 Inn, 114 H, 44 ER, 5 HR, 41 BB, 167 K’s, 2.53 ERA, 2.26, 0.99 WHIP, 10-5 4.9 WAR #11

There's not a team in this Re-Draft that can match 3 pitchers in the top 13 overall. And it would be higher if Richards didn't hurt his knee.

And as I alluded to in my write up, now put a dominant defensive team behind them, and it's a wrap for everybody. They put these numbers up without great defenses, absurdity what they would do with my defensive roster.

Not sure how good any of those guys actually are on the game.

Ya my biggest decisions with picks came down to do I want a players that's good in the show or having a good season? Lol I leaned mlb show ratings early.

That's the thing, I don't give a damn about the video game, it's Madden for baseball, we're probably a year away from them actually updating Kluber, Arrieta, and Richards to who they were this year.

Those stats, those numbers, aren't video game ratings. Those are actual numbers, with meh defenses behind them.

In this simulation, with the team I built, the defense, etc, they would be plain ridiculous. I don't need a video game to tell me that.

They don't walk many, they don't give up home runs, and now, if you hit the ball anywhere in the outfield in play, or anywhere up the middle, you're out. My first baseman is the only one that is not a plus defender, and my second baseman is probably next, but I can put Cozart in there and it's a wrap.

I know for a fact the video game sim of my team won't compare to what they would be able to do in reality. I'm ok with that.

Looking at strictly numbers I always wondered why you guys fawned over Alex Gordon but dude picks up clutch hits so I guess I get the hype.

:lol you tripping if you think your winning games solely off pitching and Defense. Mariners thought the same thing and didn't do ****. Offense wins baseball games

I'm dropping David DeJesus for A.J. Ellis. I drafted for the video game, for the most part, but ya'll got to me with the one catcher talk.

I'll try and submit my stuff tomorrow.
