NT recommend me a good camera for under 3bills

The wife wants a new camera and I'm too lazy to do my homework so someone please shed some light. Looking to spend 250$-300$ and i know some cat is gonnabe coming in here with "for 350$ you could..." so save it, just wanna know what's the best thing out there in this price range.

yeah a few months ago I grabbed the new cannon powershot sd880 is, upgraded from my old sd 600 or whatever it was.....they are good cameras for a point andshoot and the new one is noticably better

I wish I had gotten a red one!! that thing is fly

can't go wrong with canon powershot, i recommend the SD1100
