So I have been spending a large amount of money on my check card through wells fargo recently. I always choose the credit option when checking out so i figure I should be getting a % cash back like I hear about some folks getting. Now my credit isn't very good nor my income very high so i don't think I can apply directly for a credit card with any significant balance. I am looking for a checking/savings account with linked debit/credit card which will offer the highest cashback %, if this is even possible.

well you arent getting cash back with your debit

you need to apply for a wells fargo credit some decent cash back but bofa/chase is better imo

if you are a WF customer it wouldnt hurt to apply worst they say is no but most likely they will give you one if you have a checkings acct with them

ebates give you cashback on most sites online and its free

i dont know much about credit cards but i know captial one offers 1% cashback on all purchases.

I like to use ebates, it's worked pretty good. They give 6% back on NikeStore orders. No credit card reward program that I no of can beat that on shoes, especially Nikes.

I've actually found I save more by just using cash. Studies have been done that you save ~7% more using cash instead of debit & 12% more than credit.

If you're bent on using plastic, Perk Street Bank offers a debit card w/ 1% cash back on all purchases and 2% back on many major retailers.
