I think we’ve all been burned by making that mistake , risking a lot of money on a stupid ML to win peanuts because it’s a “lock”

I don’t do that crap no more , if anything I’ve been known to add a “lock” ML to a straight wager, to erase the vig or make it plus money. But I know even that isn’t smart. Hey, we’re gambling lol.
