B/c of work I was unable to get in my usual action yesterday (overslept Sat. morning because I was on a conference call 'til 6am so I missed the 12:00 games) . My only bets were LSU and ECU. And ECU was up 18 the 4th and choked away and only 1 by 5. Went heavy on LSU so I still won for the day. The bets I recommended to others were:

UF -20, Bama -11 , USCe -16, SMU -21, UNC +7., LSU -6, ECU -14 , and UGA -9.5. So if ECU didn't choke it woulda been a perfect weekend for somebody

. Regardless some people had good weekends

Betting against Memphis = easy money. They are literally the worst  team in D1. I wonder if they'll get the Wisky treatment and get taken off the board b/c Vegas is always losing

I think I'll take Chiefs +15.0, considering the ML too. Gates is out for the game.

Still 50/50 on taking the Raiders, which I really want to do.

Minnesota (+3) - Detroit has not won in Minnesota since 1997. Sure, this team is the best they've had in years, but don't be fooled. It's a divisional game in which Minnesota is already desperate for a win. They've got AP, we know that. They've shown they can be an extremely efficient offensive team, they just need to put it together for the full game.

On defense, Minnesota gets Kevin Williams back bolstering what was already a very stout line the first two weeks of the year. Best will have nowhere to run forcing the pass all game, but the Lions haven't faced a front like the Vikes yet. Stafford should gets sacked 3 or 4 times.

Lastly, this has sucker bet written all over it. The public is hammering down hard on Detroit and while I don't always use that to dictate my picks, it just adds to the reason why Minnesota is the play. Straight up.

Miami (-2) - I've been looking at this line all week and was going to pull the trigger and as soon as I heard Hillis was out I ran to place this bet in fear the line would move. Miami has played some very good football teams in the first two weeks of the season and they held their own. I think those first two weeks primed this team to flourish a bit against a Cleveland team still trying to breakthrough and find their true identity through Colt McCoy. I think the Dolphins can put together some drives that shows a strong offensive prowess and it's a little more than what I think the Browns can bring today without Hillis.

Parlay:

Titans (-6.5)/Raiders (+3) - The write-up from earlier in the week: Dominating performance by the Jets over the Jags. Whoopty doo. Shonne Green is a bum. Sanchez is horrible. Mangold is out and he dictates a lot of the calls Sanchez makes behind center. He's a huge crutch for the kid that most people may not realize. The backup center isn't even supposed to be the backup because that guy got hurt too. New York to Oakland. That flight has got to suck.

I was pretty shocked last weekend with how Tennesse really took it to Baltimore. The main thing to remember from that game is how dominant that offensive line was, in turn, how an upright Hasselbeck can still pick apart and burn defenses. The line may look tasty for Denver backers, but Vegas has this one right on the money. Until Denver can get some consistency from that offense I won't like them much. I expect Tennessee to win the battles up fron and think CJ will start to get more productive, making that passing attack all the more dangerous. The play here is the Titans.

6.5 point Teaser:

Titans (pick 'em)
Seahawks (+10)
Chargers (-

Raiders (+9.5)
Vikings (+10)
Ravens (+2.5)

Probably more later...
