^ hahahahaha

i try to stay away from basketball (i dont like to set my money on fire) but ive been testing out a theory for the last week or so. early results are promising, but sample size has been too small to really determine whether or not there is any truth to it.

so my betting theory is based on tired legs and slow starts due in part to the compacted NBA schedule this season.

I am betting 1Q lines on games where the following criteria are met.

1. Visiting team is on the 2nd game of a back to back road trip (must be road/road. if they are playing back to back nights but its home/road, then it doesnt apply)
2. Home team has atleast 1 full days rest (not on a back to back, even if it was home/home).

In this scenario, I will bet the home team 1Q sight unseen. 5-2 since I started betting, but again.... small sample size so the + record can be purely due to luck. I'll keep you guys posted once I have a bigger sample size.

Wouldnt the Heat fit your criteria today against the Knicks? Also have you been tracking second halfs with your criteria? This is just a wild guess, but you would think that the visiting team's legs would be gone by the second half, and your system could apply here too. Just a thought.

the one positive for being awake at 3am - hit early lines.

NCAA

St. John's +10
- Pitt is on their 2nd real bad losing streak of the season, not the same team they once were. St. John's has won three games in a row over UCLA, DePaul, and #18 Notre Dame. They have had a rough season for young kids and are only playing 6 guys. Going to play in the Oakland Zoo is never easy, but laying 10 to a not so good Pitt team, I'll take it.

NBA

Bulls +2.5
- I don't believe in the hype of the Spurs. Rose is a killer, they win this game out right.

OKC vs Philly - UNDER 190.5

Hornets -3

Dallas vs Memphis OVER 180.5

Pretty much. Maybe lay some money down during the NCAA tourney, but basketball is just no good to me. Football and baseball only for me.

Basketball can be tough, you just have to pick your spots, but if anything it is the best for betting if you know anything about it. The public tends to know the least about college basketball compared to NBA, NFL, College Football.

More games, games everyday, with less attention being paid to some of the smaller conferences. Mountain West and A-10 both have been good for me this year.

Today

Maryland +19.5
