Basically your average bet. For me, $75, for some it could be $1000. Lot of people don't like to specify how much so they will say units.

Usually a unit is 100 for most folks...but to some it's $20 so they can say 20 units to make themselves feel good

i dont think its to make themselves feel good. I feel some peoples pockets arent as deep as others so 1 persons unit can be 100 while another can be 20.
I always looked at 1 unit being 1% of your starting bankroll.

yeah as far I'm concerned 1 unit = $100.

it's not like people have to state how much they are wagering.

A high wager is a subjective thing, if I bet 1 unit that's 1/4-1/5 of my pot so it's a big wager for me, obviously not for guys with 5k+ size pots

anyways, hit on the spurs & Canadiens last night :hat
