RL is run line. similar to the point spread in basketball.

take the following for example:

the RL for the San Francisco Giants is +1.5 (similar to your basketball point spreads). The Giants are the underdog, so they're +155 to win the game, but if you give them the extra 1.5 runs, they're -145 to win. The Dodgers are the favorite so their ML is -170, but them covering 1.5 runs is +125.

run line

normally most people bet for a straight win that = ML (money line)

RL = run line means the team has to win by more then 1 run but you get better odds

yea but you're laying so much on usually a very inferior team and laying 170 to win 100 is risky more times then not.

Unless vegas gets it really wrong, like they did yesterday with KC (got lucky it was rained out) vegas will win those under dog RL bets

That's too much juice for me.

I quite often go the other way.

Rather than bet two teams at -200 or so I'll take them -1.5 and as long as one hits I'm plus money.

I don't really bet games singularly this early, so the RL for the underdog wouldn't be a bad inclusion for a parlay.

there is a system that my friend goes by, on http://www.sportsbookreview.com/betting-odds/ they list games by their rotation number which is located to the left of the team names, what ever game is first he takes the underdog RL if the juice is within his comfort zone.

So far it has been 5-0 with the Padres, Cubs, Padres, Braves, and Cards hitting on the RL
he also does it for the ML and has been 3-2 with it.

It has also done well in the NHL this season too

Been moosed too many times on FTs and uncontested buckets at the buzzer. Typically, if I have a lean, ill buy 1-2 pnts for 15-30 cents per dollar. This has saved me alot...prolly not tonight though as vucevic is out again..lol...
