Indy backdoor'd me probably like everyone else. >:

I like Giants +7 and SD +3 especially if Ellington is a no go. Cant trust Detroit to cover big points ever...

Looking at:

Georgia -6
USC -19
Nebraska -10
Arizona State -15

Nothing is locked in, but these are my favorites.

GIANTS @ LIONS
OVER 45.5

I remember seeing this line open at -4 Lions... The whole world and their moms must be on Detroit for it to have jumped to -7.5.. Giants were garbage last year.. Eli had the worst season of his career and they missed the playoffs, again.. But they did finish off strong. And they even beat the Lions to keep them out of the playoffs, again..! My biggest worry is the pass protection for the easily flustered Eli.. They have 3 new guys blocking up front and they're facing Mr nasty Suh and co. If they can somehow manage to give Eli time to plant his feet... Maybe we can see #10 live up to the Manning last name and connect with his receiving corp.. We all know Stafford and Megatron could light it up.. Having Golden Tate as #2 just gives more ammo to this high powered offense.. I'm playing the Over 46 here.. And I'll take extra points on top of the +7.5 on a teaser.. I think it too many points for the Lions to cover...

was just about to lock in my bets when i see the line back down to -4.5.. doesn't really make sense considering about 65% of wagers are still on Detroit..

im still going with the OVER here..

will play Giants on a teaser with my picks for the later game.

Detroit and AZ tonight

can someone explain to me why SD is getting so much love tonight??

they were a playoff team last year 9-7 and won in the wild card game. They even won their last 4 games. Phillip Rivers looked great last year and so did Matthews. I'm not touching the game tonight but if I were I like SD ATS.

strongly considering taking Lions -6. Giants defense is awful and Eli I think will struggle adjusting to west coast offense learning curve. Jennings is gonna be good but he won't be enough. Such playing for a contract

new coach in Detroit, they're at home. offense has always been good but after Reggie Bush comes off a 1,000 yard season, megatron healthy and new offensive weapon Golden Tate I think they'll handle the Giants tonight.

not to mention Suh is in a contract year

CHARGERS @ CARDINALS
UNDER 46

Both these teams are really evenly matched... But I'll give the slight edge to the home team... The under is a no brainer for me.. You can make a strong argument for the over no doubt.. Two offensive minded coaches. Two experienced QBs and reliable targets for both... But the Cards have one of the best CBs in the league and were amongst one of the best overall defenses last season.. The Chargers. Not so much... But I do expect their pass rush to cause havoc for Palmer with Dwight Freeny coming off the edge.. Enough so to maybe  force some turnovers.. Add that to the possibilty of both teams playing without key players on offense (Elington and Gates both questionable) The under is my play for this game... At the end tho, Cards do just enough..
23-21. Cardinals.

Not sure I can take a writeup seriously that says "This is a no brainer"  then "you can make a strong argument the other way" in the very next sentence...

LOL.. then dont... you forgot to quote the "for me" part.. i think the games stays under.. but i can see why people would be inclined to play the over.. for the reasons stated.. nonetheless.. those are my plays.. you dont have to take them seriously.. best of luck to you regardless... :)

also BIG on this teaser... goodluck everyone.!!

I'm just saying you're picks may be solid, but that write up didn't really express a ton of confidence, that's all. I hope you're right and good luck.

yoGetOffMyKickz: I always appreciate when people take the time to do write-ups, so thank you. I have to say that I'm on complete opposite sides as you though. :lol

I think NYG/DET stays under and SD/ARI go over.

Thats my point. If they play bad. It could jump to over 7 before Sunday. I feel good about the Seahawks, even on the road. Just wanted to get some opinions on it

Seattle off of an emotional home opener goes on the road. Depsite a few exra prep days, it's a typical sucker bet.

Thanks for that. I guess I can wait to see how sd plays. Might be able to catch it under 7. Thx for the thoughts. Really

lines shifted to -6 for Detroit. I don't like that many points. Going to simply take them straight up. Good luck tonight guys
