Taking the +2.5 games would probably be the safer bet here, but I'm taking the ML because I think it's priced wrong. She's taken down two big-hitters in straight sets this week, with yesterday's win against Kristyna being the most impressive, so I don't think she should struggle with Giorgi's power. Giorgi's been playing well all clay season, so I understand why she's getting the nod here, but I'll be on the other side here.

What are your thoughts on Fucsovics and Marterer? Am I crazy for wanting to bet on Marterer? Why is he a dog at his hometown event?

Also Djere and Lorenzi. How is Djere the dog when he beaten better opponents, leads the head to head, and won the most recent encounter?

Whew. Marterer won straight sets. No skin on Djere/Lorenzi.

Looking at Bolelli vs Tiafoe...it's extra fishy. Tiafoe is the way better player and already won a tournament this season and just beat the runner up his last match, but the game is just a pick em? hmmmm...

Any thoughts? Logic says Tiafoe, but line indicates Bolelli for some reason. Match starts in 30 minutes.

Edit: I went with Bolelli. It just got juiced to be the favorite last minute line move. Tail at your own risk, as I think Tiafoe is the better player.

Sorry for the late reply. Haven't watched any of the men's tourneys this week, so I really can't recommend one play over the other, but Bolelli has spent almost the entire season on clay (and has done pretty well) while Tiafoe just started a couple weeks back in Houston. I also wouldn't look too much into the win against Muller because he has struggled so far this year.

Tiafoe struggled against Sandgren, who isn't really that good of player and is just basically feasting off of his run at the AO. But, like Bolelli, Sandgren has spent a ton of time on clay this season, so that may have played into it. It seems like a toss up. It's basically talent vs clay familiarity. If it was a hard court, I'd definitely take Tiafoe, but the clay is going to play the role of the neutralizer here.

Gun to my head, I'd take Bolelli.

Tiafoe struggled against Sandgren, who isn't really that good of player and is just basically feasting off of his run at the AO. But, like Bolelli, Sandgren has spent a ton of time on clay this season, so that may have played into it. It seems like a toss up. It's basically talent vs clay familiarity. That was exactly my thought process as well. I took Bolelli, hopefully it pans out, both players are currently holding their serves.


DAMNNIT: Bolelli gets smashed smh. I knew I shoulda just went with the better player, the case of over thinking, over analyzing, and reading too much into line movement...
