NT, What would be the dream NBA Championship matchup? Vol. 96' Bulls?

In honor of the playoffs, what would be your dream NBA championship of ANY team in NBA history? Me and my pops had this discussion last night and i had to go with:

1995-96' Chicago Bulls ; Record: 72-10
vs
1999-2000' L.A. Lakers ; Record: 67-15

IMO, the best series ever. I would pick Chiacgo to win this one in 7 In Chicago

Shaq would dominate but Jordan would be to tough & clutch for a 21 year old Kobe Bryant

for me

1995-1996 bulls v. 2000-2001 lakers .. (lakers went 15-1 during that playoff run), i'd pick the bulls in 7.
 
The problem with picking one of those Lakers teams is that Shaq and Kobe didn't peak at the same time.

I've gotta think the '99-00 team would've been ran off the floor by the '96 Bulls. Veterans playing at their best vs. a team just learning how to win? That's not going seven games. Remember, this is a team that flamed out back-to-back-to-back years against the Jazz and Spurs (1-12 in three series) before finally breaking though in '00.


I'd rather see any of the champs from the '80s against those Bulls.
 
I don't know what that Bulls team would do with Shaq...

I would pick the 86 Celtics vs. 96 Bulls
 
the 96 bulls wouldve ran all over the 2000 Lakers...you should picked the 01 Lakers OP not saying they couldve beat the bulls but maybe a better match up MAYBE

im picking the 1987 Lakers
 
96 bulls vs 00 lakers?

be interesting based on the fact that neither team would ever call timeout.
 
I think the 96 Bulls are over rated just because of their reg. season record, the 97 Bulls only won 3 less games, and no ever talks about them. when the 2001 Lakers went 15-1, whos record do you think they broke? the 1991 Bulls that went 15-2, and both of those losses came on game winners from the sixers and lakers.

Id like to see the 91 or 92 Bulls vs the 85 Lakers/86 Celtics

Naw man i agree with you. I thought about maybe the 2002-2003 Lakers squad because that was when Kobe & Shaq were really dominating the game, but i went with the team with the better record and better role players that would give the Bulls team a game which were the 2000 L.A. team.
 
I'd say '96 Bulls vs. one of the old Bill Russell championship teams (saying if they had similar generation capabilities) they won all but 1 year in the 60's
 
^ LOL@ similar generaation capabilities....no

mj bulls vs (insert) = all classic material

but houston rockets would be good. i think the team has the best chance of beating them actually.

1987 Lakers vs 96 Bulls

2001 Lakers vs 96 Bulls

and if possible..  93 bulls vs 96 bulls. 93 Bulls IMO were more explosive... but 96 Bulls were just flawless at everything

Guys, what about the one of the Spurs championship teams?

2002-03' team? That was a great all-around team. I know they aren't on a talent level as the Bulls or Lakers but they played great all-around ball
 
2001 Lakers were one of the most dominating playoff teams i've ever seen. The way they just ran through everyone was amazing.

I'd love to see them against any of the Bulls Championship teams.
