I kind of wonder how my team would be with T-Mac replacing Hill. It was really close between the two, but I went with Hill because he was more consistent on defense.

But having T-Mac as my go-to scorer with my supporting cast might have been better.

The team is built around the incredible one-two punch of Oscar Robertson and Kevin McHale. They can attack you together in the pick-and-roll, made effective by the Big O's vision/ability to thread passes and McHale's touch. They can attack you separately - Oscar can get set and dribble around, deciding whether to pull up for a jumper, post in the midpost, find an angle to an open teammate, or weave his way to the basket; or McHale can get fed in the post and unleash his graceful moves around the basket. Oscar can also grab the boards and push the ball.

The two also bring some great defensive ability, mainly thanks to their length. Meanwhile, Dumars adds a tenacious one-on-one perimeter defender to the mix; the three of them should create hell for a lot of teams.

Schrempf and Horace get the nods in the starting lineup since they can dependably/efficiently space the floor. They've also held their own on great defensive teams in the past, so the hope is they do the same here. But if they're not performing well enough, they can always get swapped out with Rick Fox (better defender who can shoot), Oakley (more rebounding), Hibbert (paint defense).

The only questionable fit offensively is Dumars; but hopefully he can pick his spots to attack and shoot well enough that he doesn't crowd it up for the Big O. If things get sluggish on the offensive end, Steve Smith (huge scoring but also requires the ball to be at his best) and Horry (more stretch from the 4 position, might open things up even more) can provide different options.

Self Evaluation: It might come down to coaching. Big O/McHale create so many offensive options on their own that the team will always be dangerous. But it's up to the coach to stagger the lineups the right way and put in the players that best fit what Oscar and McHale are doing.

In the end, I sort of see them as a methodical, workhorse type of team; with the right coaching, they can be contenders.

Yes, and that's where I would hope Clyde would have the playoff chops to get things in order. Said it when I picked him but going for 36, 19 and 7 in a G7 of the Finals with 1/10th of Willis Reed and against Wilt/Baylor/West is pretty much the forgotten all-time clutch performance in league history. It should be the Cylde Frazier game, not the Willis Reed game.

But yeah, I pretty much felt like I had no choice to take Melo when he fell and the Melo/Webber/Wilt trio made me...skeptical, if we were getting into nut-cutting time. But I rolled with talent.

I'll take some more time later to really look through the teams. But LeBron x Walton when Cake got those 2 early is pretty much basketball porn for me. Not sure the rest of the squad was to my liking but those two together is genius.

Oh, and BHZ made the most Memphis Grizzliest team ever.

Who has the Duncan x Pierce combo, BigJ? That's just a slow, boring death. But death. Amare/Tim at their peaks would have been pretty cool to see but wish you had a different option at PG to distribute

I got you bro, I actually wanted to take a little bit more time analyzing your squad and BeEazy. Maybe even Champ's too. Figuring out how some of those guys would translate into this era of ball is something I find really interesting.

Iverson/Barkley/Pau and if it were me, I would slot Houston into the SF, I would totally love that group. I know Bowen "fits" because of defense and not needing the ball, he also lets every defense have an extra defender against you. Houston can play some D, and keep a defense honest. Lot of toughness off your bench too, smart backing the softer Pau.

Little bit like Champ and ECook, you have some older guys I don't know enough about. I know you started damn well with Stock + David, and that goes a long way. I know Toney and Wilkes were both very good in their era, and Rod was hugely underrated. Fit wise, I can't give you a fair assessment worth anything.

You could have "some" trouble just true scoring. A take the ball and get out the way scorer, you know sometimes you need that. But balance wise? I like a lot of what you put together.

Building around Shaq, you missed out on the shooters you needed/had to have. Mullin is great, but you needed more shooting elsewhere. DJ was great, for the 80's, when everything was 18 feet and in, but with Shaq, I would have liked you to go in the modern approach and let him operate with zero double team possibilities. That said, Hayes and Mullin are solid parts and Buck Williams would be tremendous off the bench. Jabari may someday be a great one as well.

You surprised us all b. But overall, I like a lot of your squad. Love the Blake/Peja duo, around Keem, and TP is probably the perfect PG, just a smidge shy of the range needed, but he has enough probably. If not, Dragic is the perfect backup then. Honry is tough as nails, and adds another sniper for ya, and you went all solid toolsets the rest of the way.

I lost out on a lot of the shooters I wanted just from waiting a little too late on selecting them. Specifically, Jeff Hornacek was a pick I had locked in and awwsome took him. Chuck Person was another guy I wanted late in the draft and I probably should've taken him over Starks, but my mindset was he would swing back around to me.

However, Porter, Turkoglu and Christie were all good shooters in their prime and would give a point forward like Mason room to operate in the post. La Bomba was also a good shooter, though streaky at times.

Still haven't had a time to give my roster a run-through but good points CP.

I rely heavily on the Iceman as my go to scorer. But I believe when you have as many talented basketball players, system matters more than anything and balance is key. I think my depth is second to none really. I wouldn't choose my spot as the best but I think I put together a squad that can play any style really and is going to be an uptempo team that will grab boards and strap up. Lot of the teams seemed to make defense a secondary option and I tried prioritizing that.
