Snuck in the range on my day off, couldn’t resist breaking it in. Absolutely did not disappoint, the overall length took me a bit to get used to since I only have 16” + rifles but once I got the Aimpoint dialed in I was tack driving. Left it at the range with my gunsmith to mount my dead air flash hider so i can run it suppressed next time I come in.

Lets go! How long was your wait overall? Electronic prints? Overall difficulty on the form 1? Im setting up my prints for the .eft print submission in the next few days then its SBR time for the MK18. That setup looks absolutely fire!

Appreciate it man… the drum is a tight fight on the p model so hopefully they make a workaround. I went pending on 11/12 so overall it was about 30 days. I mailed in my finger prints the old fashioned way. The paperwork wasn’t hard at all..just had to make sure the manufacturer was correct.

Form 1’s have been coming back super fast so Im for sure hitting the Scorpion too. Just got the mount for the can so all I need is that stamp! Also, you’re a horrible influence, I didnt want any PCC’s or SBR’s before you started all this peer pressure!

To all the self-serviceable suppressor brethren, I recommend checking out an ultrasonic cleaner for your baffles/internals. I cleaned my Obsidian/Mask baffles, springs and pistons yesterday and it took off and weakened 90% of the carbon and dirt build up. The Obsidian saw around 2,800 rounds with no cleaning and the Mask was around 2,600.

Been through that with my Obsidian 9. I shot all summer without cleaning and I damn near had to use a torch to GET THOSE BAFFLES APART. I had to buy the ultrasonic machine you have just to get it clean. Do your shoot it wet or dry?

I run it dry, I shoot at an indoor range so I cant run it wet on the firing line. I actually havent even run my Obsidian in the K configuration. Do you like your 9?

FBI failed to do their job and complete my background check, and left the status as "open". And I guess there's a time limit before ATF denies the application. Because **** the Constitution I guess.

Yep the Obsidian. Hopefully the eform won't take near as long, but it's gonna be well over 2 years from purchase date when it's all said and done IF I ever get that joint at all.

I've gotta get my FBI rap sheet and see whats causing these delays. Might try to get a UPIN.
