@ melo saying we  got another game tomorrow and then saying s*** after.

Melo: "We got another game tomorrow? ****!"

:rollin

I caught that too :rollin :rollin

Ugly win but I'll take it. This team needs to learn to close out a game. They've been up through this win streak but always manage to blow the lead. At least we are back in the playoff run :smokin

God, Wally Szczerbiak wears the ugliest suits and ties i've ever seen. Who dresses this man?

What's up with the full-windsor knot? I'm not sure if he's trying to go for the "power-suit" look (doesn't work for someone who's 6'7") or he's going to formals after the post-game.

Good win. I love how Amare is doing so much less in the post and by doing less, he's giving us more. No more fancy moves. Get position, shoot the baby hook. Must've been watching Hibbert and West lol. Woodson should've went back to Amare down the stretch instead of Bargs but asking Woodson to get everything right is too much. Surprised me that he actually intentionally fouled at the end of overtime. I was ready for someone to hit a three on us.

Stat in the post. :hat

If he continues to gain confidence in that area then he will be BIG for us come playoff time. Possibly even threaten Bargnani for the starting spot. I personally wouldn't because I think that will hurt Bargnani's confidence.

Kenyon Martin is quickly becoming one of my favorite Knicks ever.

^ I agree with you he has been playing very unselfish and nobody is talking about it. I feel like his game is starting to become more complete.

Gotcha. I'll find out tomorrow for you. Forget her name but she's easily the best.

Thanks, a lot brotha!

Just thought this was an interesting fact. I dont think Melo has gotten nearly the amount of attention this season as he deserves

Melo has easily done all the things the "experts" thought he wasn't capable of doing. He's been an all-around leader for us this year. I don't think the NY media has let that get past them.

I'm really liking how he's ben active on the boards this year. Def one of his best years without a doubt. If only we played this well from the start of the season.

On a team aspect--Woodson needs to stop with the switching. It leads to poor habits on defense, such as lazy to no help defense. Switching just causes so many mismatches for us that harms us in the perimeter defensive end. Teams look to set picks on us, just to get the mismatch. For example, in the Heat game--Bosh would set a pick for LeBron just so Bargnani would switch on LeBron and that's how they got all those easy drives to the basket. Even tonight, you saw Frye setting picks for Dragic and Bargnani or Martin would end up on him and he'd just blow by the slower defender.

The better defensive teams in the NBA never switch. You always see defenders fighting over the screen. So many times, you see Felton going under the pick or switching and expecting help which lead to no avail. The better offensive teams will kill you if you do that. Switching on defense doesn't stop the bleeding. It's like putting a band-aid over an open gash. It's lazy defense.

The sequence in the 2nd quarter with the ejection and free throws was one of the best things I've ever seen in an NBA game.

First there was the suspense as everyone in the Garden waited to see which identical twin picked up the technical. Then the reaction of laughing and cheering the moment the PA said the word ejected and answered the question

Then right after, Woody has to pick a player from the Suns to go on the line (and consequently embarrass,) and he goes with Viacheslav "Slava" Kraftsov

.  All the players grinning/trying to hold back from laughing and The Garden going nuts laughing and trying to psyche him out, while the Suns players are out of their seats cheering and supporting their guy.

Dude came out of the game immediately because of the foul on the other end, and as he's coming out, we got to see some random guy from the Ukraine, that nobody would have even known existed had the other Morris twin picked up the technical, get an ovation at the Mecca of basketball in New York City. And even the stone faced East European couldn't hold back from cracking the slightest smile for a split second

On the topic of the actual basketball we played.

1. Hopefully Woodson remembers to switch Iman onto an opposing PG that's on fire quicker next time.

2. We're lucky we're not in the West, because all of the great opposing PGs there would look at Felton and Bargs as food to run Pick and Rolls on. I don't know what it is with Felton, but I honestly think he's too stocky and fat or something to maneuver through screens. Dude was switching without any fight.

STAT getting comfy in his old man game. It's actually a beautiful thing to watch cuz those little hooks seem to be automatic or result in a foul. He's no longer looking to out-quick most defenders, even though he can still do that with certain people. And is it me, or is he giving a MUCH better effort when it comes to rebounding now? I know he's had some solid numbers recently, but its not like those 'bounds are just falling in his lap.

I was ready to stick a fork in him. Just gotta pray he stays healthy.

Some random thoughts:

- Melo's willing to pass now. Since the year has started I've noticed the increased effort, though he was passing the ball before there was a different feel to it. It looks like he's trusting these guys again. Very unselfish last night. Didn't even take the potential game winner. Question is can he keep it up?

- This team is frustrating. Something we've noticed since last season, the effort comes and goes. We have no idea what motivates them. How long will the effort last?

- Even with Murray playing well, Felton is our best PG. Forcing Murray to play starter's minutes as a PG wouldn't be doing him any favors or the team. He's strictly a back-up. Beno is Beno. So we have to go with Felton by default unfortunately.

- Iman's effort has improved by leaps and bounds. Just spot up from 3 and get easy layups on the break. Someone has to tell him to stop going 1 on 3 on the break though.

Blah, blah

Ever since Melo called that fan a glazed donut face, the Knicks have been on a roll. That's all that matters. We should get more glazed donut face looking dudes to call melo out.
